    Economic stature. WTF?

I thought I'd start a thread, asking why I should have to work outside of office hours.

I'm a self employed builder, and I cant start my next job untill the weekend, because the fuckin suit wearin types, dont think they should have to put up with a little bit of noise.

Why is my time worth less than these fucktards? If it's a case of economic stature, I'm more than happy to show them my tax return, which will surely make there pompous arses pucker up, and balls retreat into thier guts. I dont feel I make so much that I should have to work in place of spendin time with my children however. I often get filthy looks when I'm sitting in a cafe at smoko, and I'd dearly love to buy a taylor made suit, and have a sign on the back that reads, "Yep, taylor made, NOT LOOKIN DOWN YOUR FUCKIN NOSE NOW then are ya!"

So, to all KBers out there in thier air conditioned office, sittin on your chuffs, who believe the buzz of a concrete, (FROM A DIFFERENT FLOOR), drill is too much to cope with for a couple hours, GET BENT! YOU CAN ALL EAT MY EXCRIMENT AND DIE!!!

Fuck off, we're not all like that.

I LOVE to hear tradesmen working. They sure as fuck don't turn up to do stuff I've already paid them for. ( That was a dig, because you had one at me.)

Oddly enough I do understand. Many is the time where I've had to wait until after business hours to fix some self important prat's laptop, or restore data, or spend the whole night (you know it goes dark and then gets light again) on the phone, or on site setting up a new service because one fucker with a 6 figure salary can't bear to have one of the drones from sector 7G breathe the same air as him.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

Drew, in outstanding Mair fashion, you've gone waaay over the top. Again.

It's doubtfull it's the suits making the noise. I'm sure they'd love to say "Too noisey today, I'm off", it's the company. They have to pay you to do the job and don't want to ALSO lose hundreds of man hours by the loss of productivity for 15 people.

No one thinks they're better than you (except me), it's your choice to do what you do, if ya don't like it, make a change.

I'm on stress leave, been too busy filing expense claims for all day lunch meetings and it finally got to me. Hopefully I'll be right in time for a conference in New Caledonia next week.

Sorry, this probably isn't helping much.

Sure it's a pain in the arse to work through the night because sometimes it suits others, but that's the way the world turns. If you don't like it you can find another project or job to work on.

I smile when I see the suits strutting around looking pompous. I too used to wear a suit, drink coffee and tap away on my laptop in Ponsonby cafes.

I now earn more money, have less stress and enjoy life a lot more - but don't wear a suit.

Not all suits are prats. But many are.

It is because you don't have a boss....you work for anyone who pays you, and they effectively own your time - so you have lots of bosses, ahhh.... the joys of self employment!
