Surely I can't look that old

have you ever been guilty of looking at others your own age and
thinking, "surely i can't look that old?"

    well... you'll love this one!

i was sitting in the waiting room for my first appointment with a new dentist. i noticed his dds diploma, which bore his full name.

suddenly, i remembered a tall, handsome, dark-haired boy with the same name had been in my high school class some 40-odd years ago.

could he be the same guy that i had a secret crush on, way back then??

upon seeing him, however, i quickly discarded any such thought. this balding, gray-haired man with the deeply lined face was way too old to have been my classmate. hmm! m ....or could he???

after he examined my teeth, i asked him if he had attended morgan park high school.

"yes, yes, i did. i'm a mustang," he gleamed with pride.

"when did you graduate?" i asked.

he answered, "in 1959. why do you ask?"

"you were in my class!" i exclaimed.

    he looked at me closely.

then, that ugly, old, wrinkled, bald, fat, gray, decrepit son-of-a-bitch asked

    "what did you teach?"

My god, that's good. Submit it to reader's digest if it happened to you! Life's Like That.
1959 eh, ah you're not that old. He probably looks old because he's a dentist, they have the highest suicide rate for any profession in the first world.
Do you have a husband / partner? I'm currently single too, and like older women...

I've had both ends of the spectrum - I was taking part in a photography workshop a few years ago and finished my city shots early so headed to the studio where others were taking fashion shots. This photographer, who was about 60, came up to me and said "which one of the girls is your daughter?" I nearly died, they were all about 20 and I was only in my early 30s!

But at our wedding two years ago, someone asked my sister if she was my mother... she was NOT impressed! She's only 14 years older than me (so in certain parts of NZ she quite possibly could have almost been my grandmother) but has kids and smokes - shows the damage they do to your looks!
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

I was at a baby shower last year - it was amazing how much older the woman looked that had children and/or marriage. Woman in the bracket of 35-45. I joke that the men in my life have aged me lol Well the last two that I had "relationships" with. Don't have children.

Bugger you'll just have to settle for the younger ones even knowing it would be such a hardship.

Ha, you edited your posts to remove the bit about Tollov...
I'll be working with him on Monday you realise...
I've seen him with no clothes on, and he's every but as hunky as you imagine, built, toned, tanned tall and muscly.
I am straight by the way, just speaking from a aesthetic standpoint, lol!
