I thought when the man with the nice jiggly avatar (one fast tl1000) posted the actual road name that the tag would be moved pretty quickly, but taggers are a funny lot - sometimes they do nothing for weeks and other times they tag like crazy men (and women).
There was a heap more shoes on the fence there than what it shows on SV so finding it wasn't too hard even in the dark and rain.
There's some lovely roads up there and I plan to go back in more sunny weather.

I shot out and got the Tag today. Timing could have been better, cos when i got to Glen Massey School, it was 10 to 3 and there were kids and parents everywhere, probly not a good idea to rock up an start taking pictures, so i went for ride down the road further and came back later.
Old tag = Glen Massey School.
New Tag = Now I know its not far from the old one, and you sure shouldnt need any cryptic rhymes to get hints to find it. But its a wicked road to ride so it would be a good excese to go out and get it. Not far from SH 22 for Aucklanders to shoot down and pick it up either.

you are the manNa just doing what any non-Dork-lander Rider would do.
It's got ta make ya wonder. they had the MAG-NZ Official Launch Ride (Sun 3 Oct) (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php/127898-MAG-NZ-Official-Launch-Ride-(Sun-3-Oct)) (I was there) and yet the tag still stayed put. There's a 1/3 of NZ's Pop in Dork-land and yet a tag will sit there like it's stuck in a Black-hole. Mmm that could be the reason. A black-hole is caused by excessive mass causing gravity to cause a massive collapse, ending a super Dense Mass that sucks the living mass out of anything that gets close to it (that's why I need the 1400, so that I have the power to get free of it).
This Weekend probably 1/2 the Dorkland KB riders will stop at the new Tag spot this weekend without thinking at shift it for us. There is no reason they shouldn't know where it is, but I will not be surprised if it hasn't got shifted over the WE:facepalm:

Yes but the Auckland Tag wasnt moving either. The Aucklanders dont like riding more than 40km apparently, they'll only go for the tag when it's on the North Shore or out west Auckland. Every time I get the tag I take it down south and then diss them for not getting it.

I suppose I'm just more into it because of the distance I travel for my commute. I go from south of the Bombays to Albany most days, so I dont mind anywhere between there and out east Aucks for getting/setting tags.

*Confused is right i just fubared the welly game tooAye "The Wailing Wall" is as close as ya can get to Cape Reinga Light House (Officially) with ya bike now. They won't let ya take ya bike through on the pathway there any more, so no more pics of bike with the Lighthouse in the background:bye:

Could get a photo of somewhere SOUTH of there first, then get this spot on your way through. You just run the chance of someone else grabbing this tag before you.

I have raced a rider back to my PC before and only beaten him to posting the tag because I had Broadband & he was on dial-up.

I understood it as RIB has explained.
Like Smifffy has said in the spirit of fair play, where I can I hit them in order but this time I got the Opotiki shot while I was going past, then the BOP Polytech one on my way home about 2 hours apart.
If Smifffy has the correct interperetation the old tag is still valid.

Actually will be going South after that particular point as we've decided we're doing the Waioeka and the whole East Cape loop as part of the Southern Cross. Makes for a big day between points 2 and three - but hey what's an extra 200km...
Plus it looks like Smiffy is going to get it anyway...
I'll have patchy internet (relying on motels etc) from Friday but I'll try and keep an eye on the thread...

With a mixture of town and open road riding the fuel warning comes on (with 4 litres left), usually somewhere around 220km. Have hit 240km before the fuel warning a couple of times on a trip. Desn't seem to make any difference if I'm solo or two up (probably a touch quicker pace solo makes up for the extra weight of two up?). I know I can get 45km with the fuel warning on so in theory I could get just short of 300km from a tank but would rather fill it than push it.
Under all that fairing they only put a 17l tank. Have read somewhere that with the non ABS model (such as mine) you can get a 3.5litre auxilliary tank made to fit the gap where the ABS processor would have been.

It is the one thing I don't like about this bike. But the reality is my bladder fills at about the same rate, so emptying one tank and filling the other is a stop I am prepared to make, I just have to think about where.

Usually local councils, with input from a "hall committee". Unfortunately in smaller communities, with the age and upkeep of these halls there are some (I'd like to say many but don't have figures) that are being 'consolidated'. Particularly so since there aren't as many dances & socials etc held in them.
For instance, even in these last two tags the comment was made that the two halls weren't too far apart. Council beancounters often notice this too and decide that the better of the two halls should be kept and the other disposed of. The only thing that has saved some have been the fact that they are war memorials, but I doubt even that will hold much sway in time to come..
