Did Whareroa Rd, Mt Tiger and out ta Ocean Beach. Back ta Paura Bay pub for some BS.
Had a Young 15yr old Dude on his first bike with us. A RGV150. Good ta see him riding his pace and not going hard trying ta prove stuff to us. Good ta see everyone take their turn staying with him so he didn't feel like he had to catch-up. Well done Dudes.

Was an awesome day's ride today with Blue Babe & "Zena". Whangarei to Kai-Iwi Lakes. Hired a couple of canoes and whent for a paddle. Bit of a swim after that (Water was so warm). Back on "Zena" through Waipoua Forest. The road was so good today. Stopped at Harbourside Cafe at Omapere for Lunch, then back home via Kaikohe and SH1. Bit of road works on Mangakahia (AKA Twin Bridges) Rd at the moment so gave that a miss.

All in all a good day riding the Bike.

BMW R1200RT or a ST1300 ABS? long distance 2up stuff. or just to have that extra luggage.
just looking doing the reasearch for now. but thinking about it.
they have great deals over here for getting a bike, if im good %4 interest, 4year term about 400 odd a month. so it kinda got me thinking what would be a good machine thats gonna last and do some serious touring on, but have the ability to hand some corners if it needs too.

then im looking at the R1200GS, and if its for two up light trips the the F800GS has to be aded too, oh grrrrr. but they are something i could consider.

R1200RT and ST, both great engines, durable, long life, but st would have a cheaper service and im thinking parts cost aswell. Both are shaft drive, both have ABS they also come with attatchments extra costs of course and they wont be cheap, BMW has electrical adjustments for suspension. BMW has better storage i hear.
I will take both for a ride when i get a chance, but at this stage they are both even, ST im sure will come out cheaper but is tha BMW worth it.
ill just do the special check for the Insurance which im sure will make and break everything lol.
but any ideas or websites that anyone knows about would be grand.

Ya know where I stand on the one TIE. ST1300 all the way. Have test riden both. Candyman and Des Trumpshoe ride theirs hard and give the Sports Bike riders a run for their money. The ST1300 is good for 200,000km plus. The ABS is so good. OK they aren't as light as sports bikes but then tourers in general aren't. They handle a lighter than they look.

Had a Mint dry ride home with sum excitment .. Came around the puhoi corrner Hit a large deisel slick And spat the front wheel out from under the gxxer .. mind flashed and in that split second i seen myself and my Darling nicola sliding across the road into on comming traffic. BUT NO ! ..

Slamed my Left boot down hard as i could Ripping the toe slider off and Destroying the boot And Open the throttle hard as it could go... Result Nicola on the back + pack Made the bike wheel stand and correct the front wheel and save a 99.9% off ! .. :doh:

The Sword handle is copy of one on a Dragon statue I have (thanks Babe B). Had the Clan Badge already. Art and Soul put them all together for me and showed me the stencil before starting the work. There was a couple at the Whangamonata Pub, taking photos of churches, which we laughed at. Just wanted to show we can do it too by taking photos of the pubs :2thumbsup Belgium Pub was the best in Rotorua, Mind you there is one nearer home that could come close-ish, Hallertau near Kumeu. Now working for the water distric board. money is ok but hours are steady all the time.

Have you tried the Black Olive Pizza place in Kerikeri? Its great. Garlic pizza and athens pizza are so yum (just make sure you don't have to work the next day). Mums taking me there for thai night. Just need to wriggle out of work.

Whangarei picked through my ultrasound video with a fine tooth comb and found stuff they weren't particularly happy with so I ended up having to go for invasive testing to make sure he's ok (about 7 weeks ago now). Got my results about 4 weeks ago wand it was all worry and stress for nothing. :sweatdrop 13 weeks to go, feels like forever.

ok you guys keen on a norfland style tag o rama ....

south - far as wellsford
Norf - kaitaia
west - dargaville , opo ect ect
east - ocean beach , patua ect ect.

How the game works .. Find a sign or land mark , Gate what ever take a picture of it with your bike in the picture and post it on kiwi biker under the northland thread and giv a small hint to where it will be found.

the first person to find the land mark take a photo of it with there bike in the photo and post it will then become the TAGGED person and they supply the next Photo and clue.

I done this in auckland and wellington its cool if there a bunch of people playing.

Eg, beat one another to the location and get back and post first.

Where all falling apart with out ya tie, Oh that make ya feel better , We are good weather is sweet getting approx 2000 kms a week of riding in Plus doing the drag series so datz alot fun usually end up agians mike GRRR damn hes fast.... Muanders has become 2 wheeled services , Workshop side only and selling out all remaining stock .. Ill let michael answer more in depth as im a newbie HEHEHEEHE! .. you get my Pm ?

Yeah dude, as far as bikes go here... it all depends on the price and exchange rate of course, but about bike hireage im not sure.
Insurance would be a pain in the backside. Best pleace to look at bikes like a trademe is www.craigslist.com
They have some good listings and as far as prices its not so much the age of the bike but more the cc rating.
Im still looking onto hiring but they are not that reasonable, however if you breakdown thats another issue AAA i think is the thing for breakdowns here.

but im still reasearching.
