Boring stuff about your boring life.
Ann & I ended up leading Brownie, in between two groups and sat around 110’ish. We passed the first group as they were checking their ride sheet, probably around Tapuiwahine, then they slotted in behind us as well. We hit some quite wicked roadworks and I was looking to the right side of the road for the cluster of signs that would indicate Aria, when we whistled past Ramaroa Rd. They must have removed the signs whilst doing the roadworks, so we swung around and I sent the others on as I marked ...
You have a magic wand. Tomorrow morning there is no ACC The Work Account has been privatised. The remaining accident cover ‘no fault scheme’ eg motorcyclist injuries, football/rugby injuries, cyclist injuries etc etc is held in abeyance for 5 years while a joint parliamentary committee is convened and a strategy put forward to replace ACC within three years and reviewed after a further two years. At present ACC in its very basic format ...
The parts arrived I was expecting them to take 3 weeks but it only took 2 so I'm happy with that. Took them around to Brent's place along with some gasket paper and I spent an evening cutting out gaskets and occasionally holding things while Brent started reassembling the engine. We only did a couple of hours work but we got the piston reattached to the crank and the clutch reassembled and put back in (very easy to fark that up). I'm so glad that ...
With the 1000 Km Ride done, our attention was switched to the ACC Protest Ride to Parliament as StoneY (the organiser) had requested that Ulysses conduct the Ride Briefings at the Papakowhai & Avalon start points. This was supposedly because Ulysses are perceived to be ‘mature and responsible’ riders, (they obviously didn’t have me in mind) as well as commonly being involved in and conducting group rides. After initial contact I passed this off to Ken (Wgtn Rides Committee) & Jim ...

Not knocking KB but I struggle posting pictures on here. Most of my pictures are all 10mp and its a real time consuming process reducing them lol.. Not lazy just like using my time better
What an awsome day! Great weather, great route, great bike and great mates! After Grub’s tragedy on this ride last year and the problems encountered with nearly half the field not completing, we had to go back to the drawing board to address our route setting along with other improvements to make the day easier to run. Fortunately there are a few groups out there organising events like this and they had some pretty good ideas for us to borrow. With a prescription for ...
Hi-Viz motorcycle jacket with CE approved armour in shoulders, elbows and back. Have found a few on overseas sites but not too trusting of those.. If you know of where I can source one I would appreciate it. Saw some technic ones at the Parliament ride but their site does not list them. Cheers Sam P.s would rather look like a big , than a and I also find cars move out of my way when I wear my current hi vis vest
