After dropping my bike off at TSS for it's 8000km service. Grub turned up for a coffee and a chat. Didn't really want to go to the dirty, unclean McBun just up from TSS, so Grub suggessted a nice cafe in Jackson Street, petone "The Screaming Turtle". So it was on with the gear and up onto the back of Grub's bike.

My first time as a pillion I might add. Okay totally different sensation that was. Sitting there, upright, not holding onto anything in front ...

Day One from Grubs point of view

Sorry it took so long, people to see, places to go, things to do ... and all that. Once I got home, I realised that I'd hardly taken any pics because I have a new phone and hadn't worked out the taking pics bit. Then when I did take them, they're the same as what the others did ... oh well

We had a good group leaving Rimutex myself CBR600, Dingoz (he made this happen) with the two-tone GT250R, Diego (he caused it to happen) on his Yammy ...

So I volunteered to give The Tazman a break from the timing system for the Hillclimb so he could have a go himself.

Arrived nice and early and set shit up, entered day entry's etc, miss Number One arrived so of course the bull-shit basically starts from there, yabba yabba yabba!!

I plonk myself and laptop down by the gate, Gary makes sure everything is a go and we're ready for the first run, until we realise that the way I will be getting the times and bike numbers ...

Over the weekend we stopped by the annual Motorcycle Exhibition, and wow, it was amazing! So many bikes, new and old, customized and originals! And not to forget the beautiful Czech women advertising the bikes

My goal? To test out the Ducati Monster and Street Triple to see which bike might fit me best.

This year, like before, the exhibition was held at the Holesovice Exhibition Hall which is HUGE and holds various exhibitions throughout the year. As you can see ...

This was a mixed week. I was given a picture of my great-grandparents with my grandfather, taken when he was 3 or 4 so I would estimate it was taken around 1885 and rates highly with me as a family treasure.

On the other hand, I went to Motomart to get a spare key for the bike and after booking in, I was supposed to be there for 20-30 minutes while they programmed it.......but 3½ hours later I was spewing and left without a key. What made it worse was that I was told two different ...

After no ride for a couple of weeks, I made up for it with 2 short rides this week.

On Wednesday I joined the Kiwibikers for the Cruisy ride to the Tin Hutt, departing from Avalon at 1830. On the way there I was happy to ride as TEC so it was very cruisy but on the way back, I left with Dennis and thought I'd have a bit of 'pace' practice. However, shortly after hitting the hill, the light following me, (who I thought was Dennis), passed and turned out to be a GSXR with no Dennis ...
