It was an awesome June morning... but then I new it would be.... its my favorite time of the year on the bike.... crisp frosty mornings leading on to awesome riding days. I had 1pm appointment in Reporoa so I wanted to be on the road by 10.30 so I had heaps of time. I turned up at the Bank Managers place to pick up Aliesha (Ali) 19 and gorgeous the BM's daughter and get on the road. As seems to be the way I spent the next 45 minutes waiting to leave... ...

Well, the lil'ol'hornet fired up first time today, been a wee while since I last rode him around and I thought the short local jaunt to my parent's fish and chip shop would be perfect for it to get out and about. After all, those clever and industrious japanese designers at Honda did think that would be a neat thing to do. Have a wee runabout chewfiddy screaming along the narrow roads of the local cho (district) and buzzing to the railway station or the Dawsons/7-11 store. ...
Day 9 – Te Anau to Wanaka By Day 9 the good weather seemed here to stay and the thermals were stowed away and the mesh jackets and gloves came out. We stopped at Kingston for coffee and then it was a easy cruise along the banks of Lake Wakatipu to Queenstown. This is a breath-taking lakeside ride and one we would love to do again - nice views and good twisty corners. We stopped at the wharf in Queenstown just in tine to see the Ernslaw steamship berth – cameras got a good hammering ...

Hi everyone, AMCC is always looking for marshals to help out so if you are interested in learning how to marshal and get in for free, just turn up at the Pukekohe Park race track 8.15am and meet up with Ange at the Jennien Homes Building when the meetings are happening... other meetings we help out at are Paeroa Battle of the Streets, Hampton Downs.
Well I took her out for her first outing this evening and it was very interesting. The batteries haven't been holding their charge so I've had to constantly charge them. The best was showing 13.6v so I threw that in, bolted her up and cranked her over. She didn't start right away, which surprised me and made me a bit nervous, but after a couple of goes she fired and sounded very happy just burbling away at idle. I let her warm up while I climbed into my gear. I hate ...
For you ChCh riders, Dyers Pass has been resurfaced recently and has loose grit and gravel making cornering somewhat treacherous. Rode up it tonight and found the first 1/3 of Dyers Pass had been resurfaced. I expect the remaider may be completed in the next few days. If you are riding down Dyers Pass you may "discover" the new surface suddenly, take care. Cheers.
