General Bike Ravings

Along with many nooby questions asked by yours truely on the KiwiBiker website, I also noobed around all of the bike stores in Auckland, well, most of them anyway. After looking/sitting on/dribbling (good three cups of salliva)/price checks, I finally set my heart on a Honda CBR250RR(R), MC22. I came very close to deciding on a Hyosung GT250R, however countless reviews and feedback persuaded me to steer clear... Steel frame, low power, dodgy braking systems... the list goes on, just not what I need. ...

Went out racing for the second time today (at the Slip[way, Brooklyn) and discovered that my bike really doesn't like drinking water!! back to the drawing board.

when i've finished my studies at the end of the year and subsequently passed, i'm taking 2 weeks off to go for a tiki tour around the island..there are a few places i've never been and some places i've only seen when i was a wee tacker. pretty much i will be heading north from new plymouth, going through to hamilton, then auckland, then up to cape reinga, back down again following the coast around past omokoroa, down through napier and hastings, across to pahiatua and through the ranges just north ...

Gunna be looking around for a good 2up sports bike for me and the missus in the next 6months or so. Even though im on my learners will be looking for a good deal to maybe put in the shed for when the time comes. Im after a good 2up sports bike if theres one for me and the missus shes just under 6foot and im 6foot2 between us we add up to around 200kg big boned and all you know. Is there such a bike or will i have to bite the bullet and get a cruiser. Maybe a firestorm or a bandit maybe all ideas ...
