General Bike Ravings

My first thought was blah, raining - bummer but I'd been mucking around with the camera gear and paced the room deciding to go or not. Last minute decission----GO---- So pleased I did. i'm pretty interested in meeting up with some more riders, people who share the same interests and whatnot. how about a pie and pint kinda thing at crowded house, or another bar/pub/pie shop (at a loss there) around taranaki? met a bunch of good blokes on the toy run a couple years back and now i've gotten back onto a bigger bike which tours quite well i'm interested in organising rides etc..

also, anyone know where to get a cheap 2005+ r6 tail section? making a streetfighter..

One of my closest friends said I have scooteritis.
And yes I did but its evolving - even after coming off in October.
Whether it be a moped or sport/tourer, coming off still requires the same stuff - helmet, gloves, boots, jacket and at least your denims (around town).
My scoot only had some cosmetic damage - very repairable - and I had some kumara bruising but I am pleased I had my first real road fall at only 30-40km/ph.
A few days later I made sure I got back on - ...

The bikes in these pics are not the result of a freak accident involving a truck full of paint, they are actually the way the owners intended them to be. This has been a longtime coming. My first bike. I really do want something bigger and more powerful, particularly for open road riding but as the law instructs us we must begin with a 250. Anyway, this is the bike i picked out and i love her all the same. I am soooooo looking forward to getting her out on the highway with a group of others.

Over the time ive been a member of KB i've noticed there are quite a few people who own or a fond of fzr,cbr,zxr,gsxr 250cc 4 cyl 4strokes, but there seems to not be much credible information on them,
On looking through some of my dads old performance bike magazines from the 90's i came across a test between yamaha's fzr250 and suzuki's gsxr250,the test has performance figures(dyno,1/4 mile,top speed etc),opinions on handling etc.etc

My dad was here for a week last week. It was great to see him because every time I go back to NZ I go to Auckland, but I don't always manage to get to Levin where he lives. I have told him a few times that he should come over but he never seemed that interested, until lately when I pointed out that I would only be here a few months more and he might not get another chance.
