This weekend I once again enjoyed one of my favorite annual rides, the Musclar Dystrophy (MDA) Run. With this year being the fourth C1KC, planning for the event is a bit easier as, after organising a new route, most of the stuff just needs to be regurgitated and tweeked, but that doesn’t stop us making plenty of mistakes though….which we do try to learn from. Sunday morning broke fine and clear… the best day for riding (Just my opinion) on the long labour weekend break…. This was the 1st decent ride since the trip up north to the Twin Bridges and out to the Whangarei heads for lunch back on Fathers Day in September.... or the last quick blast around the Coromandel Loop.... Life is a struggle….and that’s why we divert our attention from the daily grind by taking up sports and hobbies….but sometimes that can be a struggle too! The 24th Grand Challenge (my 5th) was one of those times, but I persevered and finished. Does anyone know if the Woodstock Rally in Hokitika is on in January next year.The West Coast Touring Club website has no mention of it at all.Would be good if they could at least put up a note saying it is cancelled if that is the case.
