ACC and GST are for two totally different purposes. I would encourage you to read the Woodhouse report, the foundation of ACC. And if you can't be bothered reading the research and all the reasons why it was done the way it is, at least read section 6. http://www.library.auckland.ac.nz/data/woodhouse/
Thanks for the write up, keep us posted with progress!
wow....scary stuff. This struck a chord with me. Thanks.
Weight loss?? Shit, will cutting down to 9 beers instead of a dozen do it you reckon?? Although that is less exercise for the throttle arm ya know.
Nice one! Couldn't agree more
Hold the compliments until she rips up the track mate. I cracked the whip at Dave the machinist today, (translation, asked him politely to finish the two other valve guide plugs, so hopefully the head can get reassembled next week). I have a high priority booze session at Fletchers Bay this w/end, and I also need to watch the last 1/2hr of "Zombie Strippers" on DVD. Now, start exercising, as a strict weight saving regime is being put in place over xmas n new year. No figgy pudding for you sunshine.:-) PS, got a few more pics for next photo blog session. (Not the Zombie Strippers)
Did it work?
Was a good ride but I was lost most of the time lol(still got in on time 1350hrs) GPS sounds good next year.
good job we all make a difference
New Slogan: New Policy: Kiss My ACC
Nice One!!!!
Hi John, I was one of the two bikes that retired, the knee replacement kept going north and I headed south from Ratahei. It was my first attempt at such a long ride in one day, next time I'll fit a windscreen to my cruiser. Thanks to Jeff and Christine for a great day. Mike J
Jared Love had some technic ones for sale at the HMCC road rider training days @ Hampton Downs track last weekend.
Yep the first thing when they have no justification for their arguement is to get personal with the poster and then slagg Clarke etc who is entirely off topic.
Hey Darrin, I enjoy your reports and blogs. I don't often check peoples blogs but have dipped into yours a couple of times now. There is some similarity to our approaches I think and I am a fan of the systematic aproach. One of my struggles is striking the balance between the "science" of riding and the sheer joy of it. At times I'm like a movie critic who can't enjoy the movie because I'm overanalysing it, at other times I'm so busy enjoying the movie, I forget to pay attention to the technical aspects that would help me make good movies. Keep the reports and blogs coming. Clive
Dangerous move. I worked in Bosnia for a while. Not sure about Croatia, but I wouldn't walk anywhere off-road with the grass that long. There are mines everywhere and they aren't always signposted. Please be careful.
Really glad I went on this - great turnout and we weren't even ALL there!
The dead piston The dead cylinder and valves The old head after a leak down test .... Definitely won't be using that head again.
Yep, you missed something. Cylinder #4 dropped a valve and broke all of them. I've got a spare head but don't have a spare piston, cylinder liner, rings and I'm not buying them cos this is a very cheap track bike. I'm going to run it on 3 so it qualifies for Formula 3 when I want to turn up to a race meeting. Whereas if I rebuilt it to run on 4 cylinders I'd be spending thousands on a bike that'd be destined to finish near the back all day. At least in F3 I couldn't blame the bike for being last eh.
