No worries about loosing me: it was my bad management / luck: hell, I normally get 330+ out of a tank, I ran out at 270 and that included 1/2l from the extra reserve under the seat.

Anyway... who would want to do a GC and not have a good story to tell ;-)

Has anybody realised the major blunder in ACC's stats yet ?
If a motorcycle and car have an accident it is classed as a motorcycle accident, but there's also a car involved. yet it is not counted as a car accident aswell.
If two cagers have an accident, it's only counted as a single accident, but theres two cars involved.
Motorcycles are being singled out, and the statistics are out by a huge margin.

The previous owner pulled the conrod and piston out and had already split the cases to do that. So we're going to open it up and have a look and make sure it's not going to go bang the first time it's wound over.

Why so keen to split the cases ?
Cam chain can be replaced without splitting.
Sure if you want to look at the rings or piston, no choice. But I'd be inclined to leave it as one till you get completely carried away and start experimenting with your bob weights

Did you know ACC are withdrawing funding to motorcycle safety courses to save money? Call me crazy but I always thought prevention was better than cure

1100 push bike accidendts resulting in 48 deaths.
1400 motorcycle accidents resulting in 50 deaths.

Would "they" even think of charging push bike rides ACC?

Please write to your local member of parliament, to the minister of ACC Nick Smith FREEPOST C/o Parliament Buildings, Wellington
