What an attitude to start off the season ! It is a long series an even though there is a month break between each round time flys and you're in the Van to track again.
When you're racing pushing the limits and taking risks, its a matter of when rather than if you crash. However, its what you take away from each one....what caused it and what I need to do to avoid it next time. In the short time you've known me (including the first race meet we met at) I've had a few whoopsies (after a 12 months of incident free riding). Each one I can pinpoint the cause except one... the one where a hot chick on a Ducati was chasing errr... following my lines.
Stay fit, limit the table top dancing, and try not to hurt yourself and you will have the most fulfilling 6 months on 2 wheels in your life.

Danke schön Hanne! Great blog posts.

Would "Pfennig Markt" not be more appropriate? Is that Dinglish? Is there much Dinglish about? I also wondered about your Schwarzwaldtorte in an earlier post - I always thought of Schwarzwaldkuchen? Dialect??

Hmmm - strange pedantic musings considering 'Ich spreche nür ein bißchen Deutsch'

    Bis später!

Do it! Turn all your thoughts to positive and just do it. Lose a bit of weight if you can before hand, though I am sure the docotrs will also be telling you that.

I know a young girl (22) who has been obese all her life, she was a fatso in the playground at school, and the cheerful laughing teenager, who simply got bigger and bigger each year. Her health was deteriorating, and she quite simply was miserable and sick of being so big. She paid for gastric bypass surgery, with the help of a loan from her parents. I had not seen her since the surgery (though I knew she had had it) when I went to an engagement party. We parked the car and I saw who I thought was her sister walking in ahead of us. My eyes about popped out when I saw it was her. What a life changing thing!

Do it! It will be as sucessful as you chose it to be, if you over eat afterwards you will not lose the weight, but if you follow the rules you will be shadow of your former self in no time, you will be able to get fit and boy will you ever feel good. Best of luck with it!

A good bed time story there mate, except for Xan's spill.
I had already headed home, I was completely knackered but very happy, and was unaware Xan had gone down.
Damn shame as that was a really nice bike.

see you at the next one.

Sorry can't remember a thing but my thighs are telling me I had a great day! Nah really the only bit I can't remember is maybe 30 seconds or so between the time my head hit the pavement & the ambo turned up.

would love to know why the rear stepped out such big time, maybe I got a bit wide coming out of turn 1 & got into some rubber or something, didn't think I was doing anything my different to the 100 other laps that day!

    Cheers, Xan
