ooo your own blog you shexxy thing
Thanks ... and thanks again ... you know it was an entirely special ride.
With you on that hinny pete don't be a slack ass and get posting. Wendy
Hey Pete, Are you still alive? ... In Hospital; Gaol; Found a woman?.. No blog entry since the 11th, It's not really good enough, you know! I only found your thread and then your blog last week. You are doing the trip I envisaged. I missed out on the fishing aspect big time as we spent so long on the road each day and too many stays were away from rivers lakes etc. I hope you are well and that you will continue with your tale. I like your style. Cheers, Hinny.
Oh we had a drink for on new years eve.
Sounds like you are having a blast and there are some awsome photos there pete. You take care and don't stop these update. Wendy & Pete
Great that you're still enjoying your touring Pete! I was visiting my dentist in Whitianga yesterday ($1900 - ouch!) and mentioned your visit as he's an ex-biker and from Oregon originally. He says if you're ever up this way again and ever want to make base, he'd be happy to do so; even to share American perspectives of NZ! Cheers, Geoff
Three of your high points also apply to me and also the one terrible low point. Regarding the cost of riding - yep it ain't cheap but I reckon it's an investment in maintaining ya sanity! All the best for the New Year John and see ya out on the road soon!
Awesome reading Pete .. as sarge says Kb community are great & you will be well looked after
Sniper lives down that way. look him up. He is good people. Mr Merde
Stoked that you are having such a great experience, great to hear and long may it continue. Just be aware (i'm sure you are) that like any country there are both hospitable and not so hospitable people, I think where you can in your travels stick close KB community and I think that will see you right generally, those KBer's on here that offer their help are usually generous to a fault. Like I said long may your time here in NZ continue in an excellent fashion. Sarge. (NZ)
Pete, you almost moved me to tears - what a wonderful experience for you but I must say that Jennie and I have had so many experiences like that since coming to NZ. As I get older I believe more and more in Karma! Have a sensational 2009 mate! Geoff & Jennie
Have a great Christmas Peter! Thanks for the blog-I'm really enjoying living vicariously through your fantastic travels. Carolyn McQuade
Awesome write-up Pete. I think we're all going to love you being here with your sense of humour! Shame about the German kids, they're normally good people. With dreads, they were probably heading for Takaka in the S.Island - the place seems to be a magnet for them. Nice beaches and roads in that area! Geoff
Good yarn.....it encourages me to stick to the ST and and continue to leave my servicings in the hands of the experts. Does bring back a few nostalgic memories that are best left in the past but!
Marvellous road trip!!! Bloody good to hear you made it in one peice! sounded like an interesting and non logistical plan. Great write up. andrew
Outstanding. What a legendary ride. Those are the sorts of moments that define motorcycling to me, I love your stream of consciousness and the narrative makes me see the scene in detail so clearly. Thanks for sharing and making it so enjoyable.
