A back protector. There's 3 things I won't get on a bike (any bike) without - helmet, gloves and back protector.
You should be able to get cheap knock offs of Skins type gear on trademe, try searching for compression or something...
I really enjoyed reading about your trip. Wish it could have been longer so I could read more
Heh, glad to hear you had fun reading it! Best I write it all down now before I forget, eh!
Lol. It was really fun reading this. I totally was the same. Scared shitless, but I so needed to get a bike and a license right now.

We've already sold the freezer and downgraded the fridge. I'm about $500 short so I'm hoping for a lotto win.

So far its been more labour than money, with the last of the parts due to land next week its been well worth the venture..and yes you are right, I will still be slowly doing this, and fixing that and upgrading bits as I find them.
All the best for 2013 - especially a pain-free hip! My wide is running around like a spring chicken since she had hers done 3 years ago!
You've lived to ride another year, that's gotta be a highlight... Another year of more of the same will be fine for me thanks
