Well done for getting there then. I always stop at that Caltex in d'virke if I need gas around that area. There 24 hrs and always good service.
Thanks Nicki I'm still trying to figure out how to ride that bike. It's so much different from the Triumph. The main thing is the CBR can use the slicks properly whereas I now realize the Triumph couldn't. So I'm pretty much trying to learn a new bike and tyres at the same time. I'm having fun and that's the main thing.

Track is being repaired this coming weekend onwards, or at least, what we were told. Sometime during the day the decision was made to send out the sweeper after every race to try and keep the stones at bay... I did feel for you guys once or twice in leathers, but fuck it, I was in it all day. Drank about 3.5L of water (2.6L at the track) on Saturday, so yeah, she was pretty hot
awesome bro
Good stuff John... I reckon Pic 3 is a real beauty too!
Thanks That's Boaz. He's a relatively slim 62kg at the moment. Leonbergers are a big breed, but even so, he's large for the breed.
Good luck on the recovery..we have all been there at some point..well I have anyway!
Either that bikes bloody small or that dogs kin huge!! Bike looks nice mate
Such shiny bling! You're gonna have to walk the walk now, after all, the bike looks like a proper racebike!
Certainly a stunning day in the Capitool! Almost without fail, its been beautiful everytime we have been over the last few years.
always go for a ride around the coast from Happy valley through to shelly bay & onwards whenever I'm in WellyWood....
Maybe I shouldn't have... In 2012 year to date, I've spent $3040 on gas (1366L) in just the BMW, which includes almost no commuting, which the CB900 does. Granted, it's given me about 24,000km but that's $3k I'm still missing (I'm not even digging up my costs for tyres and servicing... maybe if I want to feel suicidal)

Put one person on a small bike and you might use 3 litres per person per 100 km. My Falcon 4 up uses 2.5 litres per person per 100 km. Take a decent sized bus and you're talking maybe 0.5 litres per person per 100 km. And once you work out that the fuel cost is only ever 30-40% of the total running cost...you're getting close. Anyway, most of us ride bikes because we want to, not because they are a cheap form of transport...
I got to Caltex Rimutaka at a reasonable hour so thought what the hell !!! it only took @40mins abit tight in places but do able saved me time i think !!

They're getting damn economical, but there is no sense comparing some slug to a sportsbike...

HeHe!...as a Murphy you should know all about how things have a way of going wrong...and riding the Akatarawa Rd is just wrong!! You saved a few Km, but not time and I'd rather not have the moments! The Paekak' Hill on the other hand was a far more pleasant option.
