You do know to enhance waterproofness they are not to be rubbed along the road I suspect it was because I trapped some material from a bag in the seal, therefore it couldn't seal fully. I've had them in heavier rain without issue, just have to try and make sure I don't trap anything in the sides as I close them...

Thanks Shrek, but unfortunately we've moved on, north to Hanmer Springs for Monday and Tuesday night, we're going back to Picton tomorrow, then the boat on Friday, as we continue north... Sucks, but we'll be back again next year
I'll keep you guys in mind. That's Trudy's, lowered, Ohlins shock etc isn't it? Might pay to PM Sharry, but otherwise, it would definitely be suitable for a shorter chick, since it has those mods...

Do you know of anyone that would want to buy our awesome hornet? It's got many many mods. We are looking at buying a house, so need to free up some more cash.

It's interesting to note how Gremlin has to preface all his quibbles by blaming it on others! Good detailed ride report, usual malarky about the roads, weather, other vehicles and disasters that usually befall him. I wonder if Tombstone backpackers has learnt its lesson yet by giving accomodation to Gremlin third time lucky to break fixtures in the place! And yes, I am jealous as heck
"no" but mrs Shrek will & she might even sing to the bird

This seems to be taking the same direction my trip with Gremlin when we last invaded the SI! Forgot to remind both of you to not break anything if you stayed in the Tombstone backpackers, but ... we all know that now! Thanks for the blog updating, will be interesting to see if Gremlin does his as well (he has become more loquacious!) Keep riding safely!
