that could be bad, those realy should have an oil change every 3000 km IMHO Might be valve clearances, not bad, might be worn cam, could be bad, get it looked at
Yep - no.6. Lovely photo. Two great bikes. Doesn't look to be much of a gap between my left footpeg and the road! Shame you didn't get the sparks. Now that I've clocked up 60,000kms in the last 18 months I am finding the GS is really loosening up. Seems much more mellow somehow - economy at 4.9litres/100km even with some spirited riding.
That's a damn good shot of the GS right there John. As I'm finding with the BMW, the recipe to good fuel economy is easy. Ride lots, and as you run the bike in (over a few tens of thousands of km) it gets more economical! I couldn't think of a better activity

That... and someone was always in front... I had to be in front of them

Also it seems you and I had completely different experiences from the gokarting, but it's lonely at the top.
... I was probably grinning like an idiot... So, just your normal facial expression then? Good writeup Unfortunately I couldn't attend the event Also, Wanpo's douche-bag grin and self-congratulatory attitude at work the following Monday: Wanpo: "Hey, you know those other slackers we ride with?" Me: "Who, you mean those top chaps Toto and Gremlin?" Wanpo: "Yeah, those bums." Me: "Exceptional fellows." Wanpo: "Slow-ass losers, mwah ha ha!" True story bro!

Oh how I chortled reading this! Good to see some fun being had safely! I remember my own karting experiences so could well relate to all of this! Good effort to all involved and Wanpo ended up first on the podium! So how were the forearms at the end?

Hey cheffy, you know that a Mangamukas ride would be around 700km? Something like this: http://g.co/maps/mwnmm coz you have to do Opononi/Waipoua Forest as well. Yes... I was wondering where the video was...

Despite her size, she's actually really good on the road. Still, load her up, and even adjusting the suspension, I do touch the side and centre stands on the ground... Will do re Waipoua Forest... haven't been that way since probably last year.
it was good meeting you and jessica "the bright one" i too will now carry zipties to everywhere I go

Lucky you didn't do the 900Km Friday. It was easy but didn't do a lot for the state of my arse on Sunday morning.
Last year was easier, but I had done a lot of rides in the lead up, totalling about 8000km, and the GC was actually easier than some of the prep rides. This year it was straight into the GC, last time I'd really ridden the BMW was late August, so almost two months prior. Arse hurt lots....
