    Filadelfios was the pizza place.

By 10am, I'd actually been awake almost 30 hours... We fell asleep around 12.30pm, so it was a total of 32 hours.

What a great story GPXchick. Everyone has a little off, and a good half of us have a much bigger off. But as you did, you just have to get back on and keep on going to enjoy the thrill.

Nice one, good to hear that you are reflecting on your riding progression and doing everything in stages, as you learn more and practise your skills the confidence should grow.

And you are right, watch out for everyone else on the road as a potential hazard, even other two wheeled afficianados! Keep up the good work!

I love my bike and wish i never drove a car. The skills are very different, however learning the road code in a cage has helped me with being able to concentrate on my bike. EVERY DAY AN ADVENTURE. I hear that.

    Nice job... Great roads...

Why yes.... it did indeed... Imagine that. Toto was rather lost, so a quick education was required.

That's exactly what I was practising. However when your throttle increases when you turn it it makes it a bit trickier.

Well done Mr Toto. You should be prepping for next year's TT by doing the Rusty's Long Weekend on the Ginnie.

Personally, I don't mind Ginnies but experience has taught me not to trust their epilectic nature and therefore they are never to be followed!

    Great writeup.
I'm having fun comparing your progress to my own for day 1 - I also spent the night in Oamaru, but didn't get there until 12:15am. I had done a couple of the shorter flyers on day 1, but you are definitely quicker on the GN than I was with a lot more ccs.

Oh how I so know that feeling - if you ever ride with Gremlin, he is a slug off the bike. Then, when he hops onto his bike, he disappears into the wild blue yonder!

You are becoming a much more accomplished writer TOTO! A tip of my hat to you. Can't wait for the next episode of the mighty ginny! (And yes, since I have been exposed and ridden ginnies myself, I knew exactly the sort of challenge you had set for yourself!)

Prophetic words that Gremlin muttters, but he is on intimate terms with Mr Murphy and his friend Mr Sod. They always seem to travel with him!

Not an issue re the map file... considering I ruined your TT anyway

It was three screens, not computers.

I still laugh my arse off at the thought of epilectic horsies...
