Well almost. The Redline Test day at Taupo was cancelled because everyone (including the organisers) was at Manfeild doing the Vic Club round so I had to go to Hampton Downs. While Hampton Downs is a better track the format for the day isn't as good for sorting out a bike. Doing fixed length sessions isn't anywhere near as good for sorting Gremlins. Spent the day organsizing the back wheel bits Robbed the hub out of a spare jappa back wheel & stripped a 23" front wheel, from a '79 XL/XR500 ,down to its naked rim Ill get them bead blasted ,respoked , powder coated in satin creme then Ill rebearing & reseal the result Then its a new sprocket & trials tyre time
I was out riding my motorbike (00 Suzuki TF125) today at the local river and i had been riding it the whole day. just bought it. always made a slight tapping sound. anyway rode it for the whole day then all of a sudden it stopped. still got spark. compression. fuel. and air still turns over, but doesnt want to start now. what else should i do before it start deassembling it. is it possible that its just worn piston ring, down on comp than normal
Had the Transoesophageal Echo (TOE) this morning, at North Shore Hospital. I was frankly surprised at the difference between the two hospitals (the last procedure was at Mercy Ascot). While everyone was kind and seemed proficient, they were less organised. The nurse couldn't get the shunt in my hand, and had to have another go with a fresh needle in my arm. Meanwhile, I was having trouble not fainting (partly whimpishness, partly a factor of the fault mitral valve), Eventually, it was all go. ...
