  1. My NC 30 so far: buying.

Well I thought I'd write up a series on how I got my bike so I can have a look back and help someone with all of the mistakes I've made so far with this bike

First of all I was having a look on trade me at NC 30s because I had read a lot about them. So far I had gathered they were relatively reliable and fast enough for me (not looking for 600 fast). A long with "awesome" handling these seemed the ticked and after test riding one for the curiosity I was hooked. What took my ...

Well, been very busy cutting & welding today, have extended the frame backbone 4" & added another longer under tank tube.
We recently visited Timaru & I was quite taken with their park bench designs ,as youll see that was the inspiration for the front frame tube.....
Have also decided to make a set of springer forks for now, maybe Ill do a funky eliptical sprung front end later on

  6. The Birth of an Obsession

I can remember my CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) day quite well; it was in the middle of a chilly winter in December. Most of the morning was spent freezing my bollocks off listening to an instructor waffle between drags on his cigarette – he seemed to be immune to the cold, smug pillock.

Riding the Honda CG125 was a challenge. Starting and stopping was fine, but when it came to changing up to second, changing down again before turning around (u-turn fashion) and repeating ...

  7. Riding Hazards

So, last Sunday I decided to take my wee commuter machine for a spin round the back roads.

Went for a blast round the back of Ngaruawahia, through Waingaro, along highway 22, in the back way to Huntly via the power station, along the river to Nga again and round some back roads home.

Some excellent twisty corners to practice smooth riding etc, however a few hazards along the way:

    1. Bits of loose friggin metal loosely flung on some of the corners heading ...
