  1. Rely from AA regarding ACC

    Hey Team

This afternoon I had a reply from an senior individual in Motoring Policy and Advocacy at AA in responce to my request, 'What is the AA stance on the proposed ACC levy increase for motorcyclists'.

I have removed the names to protect his privacy. I have directly copied and pasted his reply into an MS Word document (unchanged) and attached his below.

Make up your own mind where they stand.
  2. The heads off ...

We finally had a clear day where neither myself nor Brent had anything except working on bikes lined up. So I dropped the wife in town and headed out.

Got there to find him mowing the lawns. We decided we'd head in to Big Bikes to see the mechanic, Neil, as he knows everything there is to know about working on Triumph's, Ducati's, Aprillia's etc, including race prepping and modifying them. Brent reckoned if there was anyone who'd know if there were any problems with the TT600 to watch ...

I hope we all can put aside the personal view when we do ride on Parliament, or MPs offices etc

We cant be seen as a rabble.

At times I felt that I was almost there, that what I had done would make a positive difference in some ones life. But then at other times I would find myself in the gutter, all in shatters and only my survival instincts would keep me going. So often had I wanted to give up, just let go and vanish. But somehow I never ...

  6. ACC Levies. BRONZ meeting

What seems odd is that ACC have decided that increasing the fees hugely will solve their financial problems. This a short term knee jerk solution to not looking at how the entire behemoth operates. There is little communication between various governmental agencies and this is borne outby the fact that on the one hand they insist that we are profligate users of energy resources, (by taking a huge car for a one person journey), and then penalise to the point of crippling , those who decide two wheels ...
