Hello,
I'm a new rider, is there anyone in wellington who is also new to this and would like to get out and about to gain confidence and have someone to ride with occasionally? be great to hear from you :-)

I had a mixed day. I wanted to go out, go hard and fall off today, and as much as my friend Mudflaps tried to help me out with that by ramming into my exhaust, sadly I didn't even know he'd hit me until my footpeg went floppy and I looked over my sholder to see Dave splattered on the track. So after the boys took pity on me and built me a new footrest out of wire and cable ties (in true bucket style) I was back out on the track.
Alas Rangi was sulking at being used as a rudder and started ...

Having completed the ride on Wednesday night I felt more confident about getting out and about on the bike. Done a few trips round town, visiting people for coffee whilst I had the chance. So with the weekend looming I got to thinking about a proper ride on my wee bike. On Sat morning looked out the window and saw some pretty crap weather so maybe it would be a good idea to stay in but my partner had other ideas. We needed to get some shopping so it was a great excuse to get some practice in with ...

So as you all know I picked up the new bike on Wednesday night, just in time for the Wed night ride. I wasn't planning on going along on the ride, I was more than content to see everyone off and pottle on home, but it wasn't meant to be. Another biker chick thought it would be great for the two of us to head through the tunnel and follow the bay road round to the Wheatsheaf. Cool, nice slow ride. The sun did manage to catch me on a couple of occassions but I coped pretty well considering.

Ok I am told I am getting more confident, and I am having fun... the cold & rain don't bother me... the bike is running great... 2nd gear keeps disappearing into neutral ... funny that... back to work tomorrow... rock on the next 5 months till I can legally drive faster..!
