24 July 2009 It’s Thursday night/ Friday morning, there is another tequila party raging upstairs on the seventh floor and it is time for another blog entry. My goodness, the events of today alone could just about fill up an entire attention spans worth of space! Onions, cake and peroxide all played their parts. And apparently I should really start learning Chinese…. This Thursday was not a black Thursday at all. In fact it was a most festive day, despite the thunderstorms ...
21 July 2009 My first Bavarian beer garden, a maze in maize, fresh blueberries, river-surfing and ice cream to die for. Plus to top it all off my two-wheels thirst was quenched by a joy ride on a scooter! Last weekend I visited a friend in Munich and, for want of a better term, had a roaring great time. First up, I am sure you will be glad to hear that this time no one proposed to me on the train. So that was a good start! I arrived in Munich on Thursday evening and ...
We shall go on to the end, we shall ride in nelson, we shall ride on the hills and the valleys, we shall ride with growing confidence and growing strength on the mud, we shall defend our Islands from the aussys, whatever the cost , we shall ride on the beaches, we shall ride on the mountains, we shall ride in the fields and in the streets, we shall ride in the snow; we shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, these Islands or a large part of them were subjugated and ...
Bull dropped off a battery for me yesterday. Oh - thanks to James Deuce too. Turns out it was one that he'd given to Bull. Thanks heaps guys! Battery was charged up last night. And it turns over the bike this morning, so at least the starter works...
dolphin13 (106 ) 20 Jul 2009sgotlieb was the buyer(#225869448) Thanks for taking my bike for $1. My Mrs sold this behind my back! F'n Bitch! LOL. Really? Funny thing is, there's a lovely response to my feeback on trademe. Sounds like the guy got home to find out his wife has finally cleared out his garage after 12 years of nagging. Let this be a lesson ...
Thanks to one of my lectures who knocked my bike over with his car. My bike had to go to the shop. McIver and Veitch fixed it all up at the expense of my lecture. And now i park my bike in a different place to avoid the same thing happening. I missed the brass monkey, agian, because of this. NOT HAPPY. But all being fixed, im happy to have my bike back.
Just Came back from holiday in Lake Tekapo. What a great place. Just wish i was brave enough to take the SV out in the cold, ice and snow. Will have to wait til summer for the weather to improve, then will hit the roads. HARD!
The ride you have up SH2, when you're not really riding on SH2! After spending a week on the Gold Coast, we had to come back to the cold and one of the many predictions for today’s weather was snow, however, in the end it dawned overcast but dry and by the time I left home at 0900, it was 9°. I had checked and pumped the tyres yesterday, along with cleaning the bike so I just had to gas up on the way to do the route that Steve and I had checked out a bit over a month ago. ...
