The last few years I have enjoyed learning guitar, and last year I purchased a very good dvd/cd package, and like my riding I take my time with the series lessons. Today I received an email from Legacy Learning Systems and there is a clever 'international' Youtube video that I want to include in this blogg: http://www.learnandmaster.com/guitar...nd-by-me-video By coincidence I recently purchased Hal Leonard's 'Easy Pop Melodies' and the song in ...

Went for an early morning ride this morning. It was really foggy, and I could see a layer of frost over the lawn. I was thinking there may be thin patches of ice on the road as a result. I wondered why the fuck I was going for a ride, and then I remembered, I really like riding. Anyway I set off, and then something unusual happened. The *outside* of my visor misted up. I had to give the outside a wipe a few times. I have a pinlock visor, and although it did ...
Since doing the bike maintenance course, I have owned four bikes three of which were new and under warranty. My current bike CB900 Hornet, is approaching the end of the two year warranty period in August and is maintained by the Honda dealership (Motomart Lower Hutt) at the correct service intervals. The Hornet is a dry weather bike and used for recreation riding only. I ensure that the chain is cleaned and lubed at least every 450-500km. Also, I have purchased a clamp device for ...
The background: I had a Bucket. T'was an '89 ZXR250A with a GL145 engine. Sadly I blew the engine (dropped a valve actually) and incurred the wrath of the previous owner/builder - a certain Bis'tard. I attempted to make amends by putting a CB125T motor in it, but it seemed to have rejection issues as the motor never ran quite as it should have. The motor went up for sale and was quickly sold. The new owner swapped the ignition and carbs and the motor runs fine ...
Costs of the job. Drive belt 375 plus 15 p&p Seals - 20 Wheel bearings x2 - 30 each Clutch bearing - 50 Primary cover gasket - 62 Primary chain - 132 Starter repair - 70 Awayatcs help - priceless.
Well, nothing was straightforward on this job. As fast as one problem was solved another reared it's head. Starter, rear wheel and drive belt sorted. Just put her back together now, no worries. Awayatc discovered bearing in clutch was buggered. Into town for that. Then replacing the seals discovered that one had been put in the wrong way originally and one of the rings had been left out completely. Whoever worked on this bike before I bought it did not know what they were doing. Also primary cover ...
Welcome to the third installment of my thoughts and experiences in the club level racing scene in New Zealand. I wanna touch on "helpfulness to the helpless" which sometimes makes the helpless much more helpless, but thanks for your helpfulness anyway even though it didnt benefit me, infact i am now more confused then ever. The first thing you wanna do when you get into this sport is “Learn” and it seems that every meeting i go to there is something new to “Learn”, ...
