  1. Tag day

Road State Highway 22 today out to Glen Murry, and alot of the back roads behind Huntly. Nice twisties, 22 is a bit rough past Nike I found.

The day started after lunch ( I'm a night owl), the wind was up by then, not so great on a 250 dual sport (tall and light). About 10 mins in I was greated on Waring rd by an utter kunt who had already cut the corner ahead of me, then swerved at me just as I was pasing him... He got the Kiwibiker wave; didn't give chase to get his rego, ...
  2. Adventure riding Waikato

Went for a bit of an adventure a couple days ago... Through the Taupri Range... Probably trespassing? wasn't stoped though

Lots of gates and livestock to navigate..

Also went out Old Mountain road ...
  3. Thompson's Track cherry popped

Thought I'd go for a ride up Thompson's Track today... Solo not sure if it was the smartest idea for my first time, but I made it .

Some logging guys even let me go up the other road there, had to turn back due to machinery blocking the way further up.

Not another soul on the track. Was a great day for it.

Only a couple wet patches that were easy enough to get through:

  4. Paeroa Battle of the Streets 2014

Paeroa's street races are a blast. It's such a fun event because of the great atmosphere, the weather is always good, the local businesses and residents get right behind it and we get to do stupid speeds down the main street without losing our licences. It's the only event that I want to do every year if possible and the only event where I don't care where I finish as long as I finish. My first time was in 2011 on the ...
  5. BRM Pacific Club Summer Series Round 4 @ Taupo

I'd been looking at the weather reports and it looked like the Friday & Saturday track days at Taupo were going to be wet. That and the fact I'd been horribly ill so I hadn't even been near my bike for nearly 2 months and had lost any sort of fitness I ever had meant that riding 3 days in a row would probably be a bad thing. For those reasons I took a day of annual leave and headed to Taupo on the Wednesday for the open test day ...

  7. Senior Kiwi in Central America part 5

    REFLECTIONS

My trip in Central America is nearly over. I just have a little over 300km to ride from El Tunco back to Guatemala City via Antigua.

In three months , the Suzuki 125 and I travelled 6000km through five countries - Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Costa Rica and the only problems were self inflicted when I fell off the bike and broke the clutch lever and the gear shift. I bodged a fix and a local mechanic made a permanent job. Cost $10. ...

  8. Snakes Are Cool Man!

It's been awhile since I blogged about my mate Jake and his sisters Eleni-Mei and Sienna. I guess that's because they live in Canada now, so they don't tend to 'swing past' the office anymore and it's a bit of haul and much organising required if we were to do the the baby-sitting thing...so bottom line, we haven't seen them for two years!

However, two things transpired to bring the Chueys back to EnZed, their Uncle Joe got married this weekend and the Wellington 7's bought the Canada ...
