  1. Offerings to the Gods of Stationary

Turns out I only break my bike when it's stopped.

    1) Hit from behind by a car when I stopped at a stop sign (bike written off... entire rear end and left hand side were squished... not to mention my fractured ribs, bruising and concussion)

    2) Bolt sheared off from starter clutch and got flung around inside engine. Ended up replacing the whole engine.

    3) Even the tyre developed a slow leak and deflated while the bike was parked at work.

Last weekend for instance Orange used Aarons ZPF with the Oranges chinese Banshee engine in it. The only non Chinese bits on that bike are the coil, Sava tyres , GPT gauges and of course The Orange. In open he had a 1st , 2nd & a 3rd and in doing that he beat a POLINI 16HP ( Correct , Gadgit ??? ) GP3.

  4. not enough hours in the day..

I used to be a man of leisure, I'd take the motorbike to work, then I would come home and smoke a few cones with the boys, then drink up on the weekend, rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat. Easy.

It got to the stage where this wasn't as much fun as it used to be, so I joined a gym and started weight training, and enrolled in the local polytech and did an engineering pre-apprenticeship type deal, which netted me a job. Sweet.

Then work tells me I have to go to night ...

  6. Bike changes...

One of the first things i changed on my bike was the horn.
I installed a set of air horns so that i no longer sound like a scooter.
I recently read on here of someone painting their front screen black instead of buying a whole new one that was tinted.
So thats what i did this weekend.
I bought a cheap can of matt black paint and painted the inside of my screen so that from the outside it still has a gloss to it from the plastic, but matt on the inside to stop ...
  7. Another crash

Back in 78 I traded in my Honda CB175 on a Suzuki GT380M, two stoke triple. A bike with a lot of chrome, four exhausts, and digital dash it was a reasonably advanced bike and I thought it pretty quick. I'd already come off the Honda a couple of times but thought I was invincible.

I was visiting a friend who lived at the top of the big hill just out of Cheltenham and we headed of down to the Cheltenham dairy. He was on a GT250 2 up so I just blatted past him down the hill. I didn't ...
  8. The Great ZZR Makeover: Pt. 1

Well, she's back. After weeks of wrangling, sleepless nights, abuse on here and lots and lots of support and help from some brilliant people, Tox is back in my possession. She looks a bit different to say the least, but I like it. The fairings are repaired but need repainted, but after a lot of thought I'm going to keep her naked. She's going to need a lot of work but I think she'll be a really unique-looking machine when she's finished, and I think a project like this will really improve my knowledge ...
