OK, I think this is going to work better than the thread; thanks to Klingon and Nasty for the suggestions. So I spent the night up in Fletcher Bay DOC campsite (14 or so December)and did some hiking from there as you've seen and heard. The next day I rode south again back to Coromandel town, but not before some looking around the Tibetan Buddhist Meditation center just outside of Colville, and a stop at the Colville Cafe for some tea and.......a delicious piece of cheesecake for ...
Firstly I need to tell you that I like Panheads and Shovels. Anything after that and I loose the ability to focus. It is now a few years since I sold my last Shovel and I have since been riding speedway and some jappas. Well, I cannot believe that there were two other crazy arse double 'ard, road warriors at that time of night with me! I mean, I do this as par for the course and being lost in the lonesome middle of no-where with low fuel light staring me in the visor is a normal situation. But here, this day, two of my good mates became my riding brothers par excellence. They endured outrageous milages, comical conumdrums, ironic instances and mayhem in equal measure. A typical ride ...
