  1. March Hare Rally

My first thought was blah, raining - bummer but I'd been mucking around with the camera gear and paced the room deciding to go or not. Last minute decission----GO---- So pleased I did. It was an awsome rally ( some of the wettish ones are usually the best ). Took all the camera gear in the hope I could get to use it. I'd tried to tee up with the organisers about 5 months ago to video the event but nothing ever happened so I decided, what the hell, I'll do it anyway. It all turned out good and got ...
  2. Looking Back Over The Last Six Months Summer

This last spring and summer saw the introduction of my fourth bike since May 2006. I got my current bike, CB900 Hornet, in August 2007. With the Givi screen, well recommended, and the Oggie Knobs this bike has served me well and approaching 15,000km and a set of tyres back at 9,500km, I am more than satisfied with the bike and my level of riding ability.

Though I have clocked 40,000km since May 06, there is never a day goes by that I do not reflect on two or more things when I ride. ...

  4. It's Autumn...Ride On!

After no ride for a couple of weeks, I made up for it with 2 short rides this week.

On Wednesday I joined the Kiwibikers for the Cruisy ride to the Tin Hutt, departing from Avalon at 1830. On the way there I was happy to ride as TEC so it was very cruisy but on the way back, I left with Dennis and thought I'd have a bit of 'pace' practice. However, shortly after hitting the hill, the light following me, (who I thought was Dennis), passed and turned out to be a GSXR with no Dennis ...

North Island - The Great Lower North Island Loop Ride

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Due to circumstances beyond our control, one KB member decided to Ride from Wellngton to Taupo on 15 March 2008. In typical KB fashion, this has been blown all out of proportion with a number of us wanting to go with him and then have a long cruisy ride around the lower north island. We're getting quite keen on the idea now and serious ...
