  1. 15th Sept Saturday Morning Riding Practise

  2. Saturday Morning 8 September Riding Practise

Three riders contacted me and the practise ride provided some good challenges in slow bike control.

On completion of the set circuit, I took the group across to Holborne Drive and introduced them to the flowing curves up and over the ridge, and this provided a good opportunity for them to consider returning for further practise with a focus on counter steering.

Thanks for the feedback at the conclusion of the circuit. I will cut some of the streets out and reduce the ...

  5. Night Delivery!

My Beloved stove in the air conditioning unit in her cage by forcing it up against the rear of another cage!
Cage to cage combat! Cage menders reckon I'll be the transport captain for a couple of weeks.
Night work meeting. All the gear on and we're off to her work. I drop her and cruise on to Milton for tea with the AA (aged aunt).
This is fun, like fun should be. Open, dry road, night time traffic sparse. Yeehaaa!
After coverstation and tea in the ...
  6. Daytrip robbery

On Saturday I went for a ride with some friends of my wife's, the first time I've been riding with more than two others. It was quite neat to see a string of ten bikes in front of me all going around the corners one by one. Great weather too.
We went out to the east coast of Chiba which has a decent beach, which is not crowded, yay! Our friends were camping there but we decided to come back that evening since we needed to do a bit of shopping ...
  7. 18,000kms Done

I have booked my bike in for its' 18,000 km service on Tuesday, so needed to do a 400+ km ride this weekend to get the kms on the dial. The plan was to do a pre-GC (Grand Challenge 1000miler) night ride, probably over the 'hill', up through Pongaroa to Dannevirke, Saddle then Track, back over the 'hill', Akatarawa Road to Waikanae and back to home. (approximately 450 -500 kms). But after meeting up with DennisR in Motorad on Friday, I had a change of plan as he and Bazza57 were looking at a ride ...

  8. New boots

I finally got some waterproof boots today, and right in the middle of a typhoon too, so I used them straight away. I've been wanting to get a these for about a year now but whenever I go and check they never have my size. My feet aren't even huge or anything (a little over size 10) but finding shoes of my size in Japan is bloody hard. They offer to order them for me but I'd have to buy them and I didn't want to do that without trying them first. ...
