  1. 2. So close, yet so much to learn.

For a part-time worker i'm lucky to have raised as much money as I have over the last fortnight. I have been working tirelessly to save the minimum $1245 that I need for my first road-worthy bike. Luckily I am still young enough to mooch from my parents a little more; they have agreed to pay the second half once i've saved the first half, as well as giving me $400 to buy myself an extremely effective motorbike helmet. As they said to me in a previous email 'we just want to protect your precious ...

  3. Problems with Motorsport New Zealand. Maybe MNZ isn't so bad

Talking MSNZ, this was on Facebook last Tuesday from Ground Sky.

Some people may remember a Motorsport Conference quite a few years ago where a delegate had dug into the accounts and found a few interesting anolomies, then raised the question only to have the President come down off the stage, eyeball him and say: "The Committee regards those remarks as mischevious and will not be dignifying them with an answer!"

Maybe those days are finally coming to an end ...

  4. Delay

I finally got an opportunity to get the 400 on the Dyno. As it was days after a two day race meeting I wasn't really ready. The bike was though. So, with a sore throat, aching ears and head, I loaded the bike, toolbox and laptop into the van and headed to the Dyno.

Rich had first go with his Bucket setting up a base run. I watched his HP figures and secretly hoped the 400 would at least get the same figure...

Rolled the ZXRD onto the Dyno and kicked it into life. Well, ...

  5. Almost there ...

Not long until it's done and I can ride it. I'm really looking forward to the end of this month.

I got a message saying my bike was back together and running!! After some hurried organisation I was all set to travel down to Wellington, put the bike on the dyno then take it up to New Plymouth to sort the suspension out.

Originally my wife was going to go with me and make a trip of it so I'd organised to stay with Pete McDonald. That way she could ...
  6. Rioting Muslims in Aussie

    There lies the biggest problem.
Mel was clearly correct in his drunken assertions.

  7. What a long road of Prep III

10.30 the night before a meet and the scramble to prep the bikes and load up is finally over.

Ended up swapping the fairing, tank and seat on Ikasu with Wanisami to tidy her up. I found an RG50 fairing which I put on Wanisami for shits and giggles and with the longer seat, number boards and tank she looks like a classic retro bucket.paint job even works.

Oh well off to laa laa land before a delightful 5.45am start.

I'll post some photos as soon as I ...
