Cool Playground in the wop wops

My uncle snapped these pics on a recent trip overseas, dunno if it was to rub salt in to the wounds this just one small section of the road too

But wouldn't it be nice to spend a bit of time playing here just the big mobile chicanes would be a nuisance

I could spend days there, just on that one piece of road, going up and down...

It would be a slow crawl up there in some of those rigs.
Whereabouts is that great looking piece of race track?

Its 'Paso Los Libertadores' the main alpine pass between Chile and Argentina and reaches a height of 3200m at the summit.
That section is 1st gear for trucks & buses and regularly gets snowed under

Would probably be fun the first two times, after that it'd just get boring.

You need roads with a variety of corners, which require different speeds/lean/braking etc to keep it interesting.

With a truck every 30 seconds on average it takes the fun out of this road. Mind you the old Argentina / Chile road at the back of Santago was fun , same sort of thing, without the trucks and on gravel. 3850 meter sumit.

It looks real familiar to me too. Like one I saw in a motorcycle mag recently. After a quick look I found it in Motorcycle Trader, Feb 09, page 23 and 24 is where I saw it. Looks similar but actually different roads.

Feb and March had the Ken McIntosh story. I'd pulled it out in the last couple of weeks to take another look.

Tracks have variation - sweepers, chicanes, hair pins, etc etc... like Gremlin said, that road is just hairpins separated by straights.
