Weigh up the pros and cons.

Pros: You can always trade in the bike for a newer model, how much tread is left in her tires? (the chick and the bike) The bike probably needs less maintinence even if its a hyo, bikes cost less in the long run. The bike will always let you hop ontop and have a go, etc etc etc

Cons: You might lose a hottie who looks like a cop which will get you in trouble on the road anyway.

She does want you to get it.

The reason that she is telling you that you shouldn't get the bike is so she can say "See! I told you so" if anything goes wrong.
The greatest pleasure of my recent life has been speed on the road. . . . I lose detail at even moderate speed but gain comprehension. . . . I could write for hours on the lustfulness of moving swiftly.

Just like a scene in a western movie haha, the badass from out of town rolls in, kicks his way through the batwings into the saloon and stares everyone down, then settles in for a night of gambling, whiskey and wenches..

Why does she not want you to buy a bike?

You're not planning to buy a Honda are you?

Maybe she is fearful that once you have a bike she will have to much competition from other chicks looking for a ride.

A few months ago(when I didn't have a bike) my ex boyfriend said to me "I won't care when you're in a wheelchair because of a motorbike accident."

You can guess where I told him to go

See, there's two sides to this story. She's trying to change you and you don't respect her enough to not lie.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

Please don't say you mean the picture on the right on the wall.

On a more serious note you need to HTFU.

You're on here because she gave you the hard word. The deal with relationships is that there will always be things that you want or she wants that neither of you like. If you want her in your life then you need to "sit her down for a serious talk" . That talk should be letting her know how important the bike is to you and that you intend for it to be a part of your life, now, in the future, through marriage and kids etc.

If you can't sit down and talk about tough issues now you'll have to learn it at some stage. Some people never learn it and just mislead and lie to their partner.

So my thoughts are HTFU and have the talk now. Think about what you want to say and go for it. I'm not a big fan of people who think it's okay to repress a partner or a person who thinks it's better to lie and hide rather than front up.

Having said that my wife loves bikes and is the perfect wife. Sure we disagree from time to time but we sort it and move on. If she's unhappy with something I want to do she'll let me know but she would never do anything to stop me being who I am and I would never do anything to stop her.

    good luck with it all.

Not your girlfriend = doesn't need to know about your bike... yet.

If she's a decent chick, she'll already be attached and won't run away when she finds out about the bike. If she's a slapper, meh...
