Shite happens, there are dumbass bikers out there as well as , how sad, never mind, moving right along now.

...now about that cheese grater that didnt stop them....
so you would rather that the "dumbass cager" did not take evasive action to avoid hitting the group of bikes and to plough into the bunch , possibly killing and at least injuring a few riders, But this "dumbass cager: decided to try his luck with the cheese cutter and survived with only damage to his car, not blood and guts everywhere. I guess this "dumbass cager" should not have got out of bed on Suday morning to have to deal with those brilliant riders

Unfortunately for you lot there is video evedance of your group (not taken by us) and it shows number plates clearly.
Not being an arse, but just wondering how do you know it was this group that was involved? Surely there were lots of groups riding on Sunday.

Its a timing thing. Based on the distances, general speeds, number of bikes, discriptions of the bikes involved, etc. Yes you could say its purely circumstantual but no other group of bikes fitted the discription and timing of the incident. We were less than 2 minutes behind the said group at this stage and no other bikes had come thru between them and us.

look i am no policeman and have often broken the law but you wont hear me wineing about it when i get caught. And in this instance i think they should have stopped and seen if anyone was injured and taken the rap for it. Thats all.

good on ya R1 for making a din... anyone remember my thread re: 'our own worst enemy' well that was due to a ride leaving rolling thunder... a high percentage riding like cocks being in the pack menality.

Let me asure you had it been sports bikes not HD's R1 would still have posted the same, and as far as I know the group R1 was with was a mix of crusers and sport bikes, a darft post MD.

    re hd groups in Christchurch

there would of been at least two group rides from Christchurch on sunday, the HOG group and the harley rebel group, i am not sure who went where, as i was not on either ride,( im a hog rider with swine flu ??)

i hope they have the guts to fess up to it, as bikers get the raw deal most of the time. and its all of us that will have to suffer for a few pillocks, that think they own the road. it was a really nice day for a run and i dont understand why everyone has to ride like an idiot to the next latte or pub it just dont make sense to me ??

and as to some of the stupid remarks from other kb`ers your no better than the idiots that caused the problem, i take my helmet off to R1 for pointing this out.
ride for freedom, ride safe, ride for me, and all the other bikers no longer able to ride

I am not pointing the finger at any one group. I dont know who they were either. Thats not really what this is about. I think that as road users we are responcable not only for our own safty but that of others. If there is an accident surely you should do everything you can to help even (especially?) if it was caused by you? Or in this age of road rage and weapons is it simply safer to keep going? I guess it comes down to personal choices. For me though the answer is simple... always try to help, life has a strange way of catching up with you if you dont. Some people call it karma, others fate, some luck, others life but in the end it pays you back pure and simple...
