    This is a biking first

    What's wrong with this picture...

I've worn out the front tire on my night rod special before the rear. In fact, I think I could almost wear out another front before needing to replace the rear.

Made me look like my avatar.

Clearly the brakes are more powerful than the engine.

. . . no real surprise is it?

'S not a first. Last retyre on the BMW, front and rear were replaced within a few 1000 km of each other. Front's worn out, rears still got a bit to go.

Partly a result of different profiles (weren't the same brand). partly different tread patterns (front was worn at the sides, middle still had tread), partly maybe cos of braking into corners, and probably quite a lot due to different rubber composition.

Interestingly, BMW also use Brembo brakes.

Finn, presumably its worn the sides of the tread not the centre, and that would be expected I reckon with such a raked out front end and when you have such a big mother of a tyre on the back. Look at it one way at least a front will be cheaper than doing the back first.

You've been attending the Skidmark school of meta-physics braking performance haven't you.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

Obviously you don't have the front wheel skyward enough.
