The motorclcle is modern mans(and womens)version of a horse.
The punishment for horse theft is public hanging.Follow the letter of the law I say.

Bugger hanging that's over too quick. The traditional punishment for horse theives was horses.

Tie the bastards each to four Harleys. One arm , one Harley, other arm, leg, leg . One limb per Harley. Harleys facing north, south, east, and west.

I think we just found our Judge for this case.All we need now is a jury consisting of say a dozen Kiwi bikers perhaps?

No no. Bike thieves are human too. It may be a phase they are going through and will grow out of it in time. We shouldn't be too hard on them, apparently...

How can that be?

According to many on KB ALL cops are out there watching for speeding bikers and 'taxing' the shit out of those innocent riders who never endanger anybody with the speeds they do.

Or am I just cynical???

You're learning scumdog.....we were all surprised the coppers caught actual crims!....must have been informed by a member of the public

I wish I could believe that they will be actually prosecuted and end up in jail. But there is probably a good chance that legal aide will result in them getting a top notch QC who will argue until the Judge gives him, prevents evidence from being put before the jury, until thr Crown has nothing left in its case.

I was a witness in a crime recently in the High Court. The person charged with the crime had confessed several times, including giving the Police a written confession. The whole case has thrown out as a mis-trial - because one of the verbal confessions wasn't discovered until the person that was told was questioned about it in court, and the defendants QC argued with the Judge until the judge did declare a mis-trial (pre-judicial to his "client").
So I have very little faith in the courts after my experience - a person who was absolutely guilty get off on a technicality.

And the cheek - the "accused" had the cheek to email this week. Guess I probably have no rights now that he wasn't found guilty.

Oh well, life goes on. The lesson - don't rely on the Police, the courts or the Justice department to get things sorted. The whole system is fucked.
