Speeding is safer..... If your riding down the motorway doing 20km faster then everyone you only have to worry about maybe 3 cars at a time that are all just in front. If your going the same speed you have about 10 that could smoke you

Dont listen to me though, i get my licence back in a week after 15 months....

Can't understand why more haven't ticked the 'behind a speeding cage' option. Radar shadow, anyone?
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

And for the Maha's of this world: We are here talking about legal limits. Not some "I know better" bikers opinion re what is safe on a particular road or street.

But the rest of us already knew that.

Does it still count if you never did quite sort out the difference between miles per hour and kilometres per hour ? They haven't upgraded all the old signs yet have they, so odds are the number means miles per hour?

KPH is faster than MPH , yes ? (Or is it the other way round?)

I ALWAYS keep below the signed figures. Just not too clear on units of measure. But I reckon taht so long as I'm not exceeding 100 somethings, I'm good to go.

If you can find one going fast enough and heading in the direction you want to go.

I find that in many places where the limit is 50kph there are often none of the hazards that the speed limit is set because of. i.e. Children - yes, if children are walking along the footpath and some are trying to cross the road than 40kph may be a sensible maximum speed. But if due to the time of day there are no children or any other pedestrians around then it may be safe to exceed 60kph on the same road. The speed limit doesn't vary (except for some school zones) and is set conservatively for the most dangerous time of day - at other times you can safely (but not legally) speed.

If I just ride at a speed I feel comfortable and safe at - I often risk a very large fine and a lot of demerit points. I have to be careful and travel at a speed that is safe AND wont get me in too much trouble with the law.

Of course at 3:10pm going past a primary school I am not going to be blasting along at high speed. Common sense should always be used so you don't unduly endanger the lives of others.

True, that. Although, if one's aim is to go out and speed, then it hardly matters which direction, does it?
Actually, I was talking about on the open road. Anyone that does stupid stuff in built-up areas is asking for, and deserves, a shitstorm of trouble.

I like speeding when loss of bike, loss of money or loss of life are not involved.
I like sex when loss dick, loss of money or loss of life are not involved.
I like food when loss of physical ability, loss of (large ammounts of) or loss of life are not involved.
I play it safe these days and only ride, eat and fuck things that are worth it.
