Good deed to a learner rider

Yesterday I did my good deed for the day. Felt good afterwards, also.

I was walking up to Scooterazzi to pick up the Guzzi from getting an oil change. I walked passed the motorcycle park and there was a young learner rider on a CBR250 trying to get it going. I stopped for a sec and watched him to see how he was going. After ascertaining he wasn't having any success I decided to help.
We tried full choke no throttle and then no choke full throttle figuring it may be flooded. A few goes and the battery starts to go flat. I told him not to bother anymore but I'll push start him. Asked him if he knew how: he didn't.
So, told him to put the CBR into second gear and then pushed him up Wakefield Street. He got the bike going and then gave me a wave.
I could see the smile on his face.
    Job done

I can say from reasonably recent experience that when you're new, in trouble, and have no idea what you're doing, nothing means quite as much as somebody you've never even met stepping out of their way to give you a hand.

Well done Sir. We need to encourage more riders with simple acts of random kindness.

    Nice one Nude
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

    Nice one dude.

Being very new to the biker scene I am constantly being impressed by the good willing nature of a lot of bikers out there.

Couldn't imagine many (if any) cage goers that would be quite as willing to stop and lend a hand to their fellow Cagetonians.

Actually whwn I had my of in the ice a couple of months ago it was a couple of cagers who picked my bike up and parked it nicely on the side of the road for me. then made sure I was helped over to the footpath as well.

Maybe that's a southern thing though

My mate on an FXR150 was going to test ride a k6 GSXR600 - on his learners - so I let him have a putt on my Bandit, first. I had very good reasoning behind this.

He putted up the road, and as he went around the corner, he gunned the throttle in first and buttoned off before peak power. He came back shaking with a smile, but shaking.

'I see why you were getting seriously upset over me about to buy a thousand.'

Some people just can't seem to comprehend that they do not have the right to be unoffended in their lives.
