    Just passed my full license!

    woohoo!

Haven't posted here in ages but thought I would add my story as I found it very useful trawling through the archives to read other's license testing stories.

    Sat it in Palmy, VTNZ.

THe guy had an earpiece but the battery was dying... Thankfully he was really good with giving instructions and I mostly managed to remember them.

The test was actually really easy (or at least, my riding was up to scratch so it was easy). A little bit of basic riding, u-turn, hazard id, open road, u-turn, back home.

With the first u-turn it was a dead-end street and he stood and watched while I pootled up the road a little way, turned around and came back.

On the open road it was another straight-forward u-turn but with him in the car.

One thing I was trying to find in the archives was what they were looking at with this, but couldn't find it. It seems doing it with your feet on the pedals is the way (and appropriate headchecks, indication etc).

He said at the end that I scored somewhere in the 90s, and that I did some safety stuff that others were too lazy to. Like HEADCHECKS - WTF???
He also said a lot of young guys go around corners (like after a give-way) scooting on their boot.... which seems really pointless and won't win any points.

He didn't even do a pre-ride bike check!

    So pleased

Now I need to sell the bike and buy a car and get my car license. I only have my learner's car license and have to get my restricted by summer. Will miss the bike, but it has to happen

Great for getting your licence, that sucks about having to sell the bike to get the car licence sorted.

Perhaps you could downgrade the bike to something cheaper?

    HAHAHAHAHA! Yeah, or a moped!

Am a poor student right now, and need the bike money for a car. Need the car for my summer job.

Long term plan is to become a rich and famous consultant with a company car and get a bike again

Filling a car and paying for parking will be a shock to the system!

Why not keep the bike then? Why do you need a car for your job? I'd be getting a new job!

Now you can buy a GN400 lol. I'd much rather have a bike for summer get a new bike.
You sound the opposite to me, I've had my car licence since I was 15 and got all my licence upgrades as soon as I could. I'm 20 now and have my bike restricted. Used to be hardout into boyracer cars. But cars don't do it for me now. Much rather have an R6 than a evo etc
    Thats whats up.

Well mate, the question wasn't "why not quit your job?" it was "why don't you keep your bike then?" which was in relation to her saying filling up her car is going to be a shock. Depending on where she lives and how far she has to go, parking and gas is now going to be 4 or 5 times more expensive than if she just rode her GN in and parked it wherever she wanted to!

But yea, curious to know why you need a car for your job? You working for the mob, dumping bodies? Badass biker girl!
