    FXR150 headlight help!

Can anyone tell me if both sides of the headlight or just one side should be on when the headlights are on low beam?

For FXR both should be on all the time.

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

I couldn't get the welding done properly, the wire might be connected upside down.

Nah, I was meaning 'damn you' for the fact that it means that *I* have obviously done something wrong! It has been working fine but when I went to change the lightbulb on the side that wasn't working I must have done something wrong as both sides work on full beam but the right side doesn't work at all on low beam...

Anyway, I should be in the kitchen cooking not in the shed working on bikes, right?...

The connectors are rubbish. Take it off & clean the contacts well, swap the bulb to see if it is that.

Then when you want better lights go to a shop (See Andrew at TSS he'll know) & tell him you want halogen bulbs for bayonet fitting & sameish wattage. Which from memory is 35W, could be 25?

My 750 has an FXR headlight & it isn't too bad with those, not that I ride it at night much. Whatever a Yamaha Blaster uses (some horrible sort of quad).

Turns out that I had totally fucked up putting the bulb in. malcolm described it as 'putting a sqaure peb in a round hole', in fact he was impressed that I had got it to work at all, lol!!

It was all fixed then this morning I was taken out by a car and dropped the bike on the right and now the high beam doesnt owrk on that side by low beam does! JTFC!
