nothing definite yet, but I know my mum is planning a transportation term next term, and it will be covering sea, air, land. Nothing planned, but shes busy trying to figure out what sort of vehicles would be able to come. The school is in Papatoetoe East.

Just thought a police bike would be very different and special for the kids...

If everything goes ahead, I'll also be asking if any KBers in auck would be able to show off your ride a bit (as if you need a reason). It will be during the week of course.
Yeah, that shouldn't be a problem. I've done a few school talks over the years so when you have details, just PM me and I will double check with the boss. The Eagle helicopter also does flybys as well if they have the time so that may be another idea.

    Crikey Martin,

What a difference in size!!!! Just don't go thinking you're on the bird or it will be tears before bedtime!

I'm off to Hamilton tomorrow for new rubber - Azaro "B" spec or the maybe new Avon Vipers if they arrive in time.

    Cheers

    Geoff

Up to 230 kms now! Haven't blown it up yet...
    lol.. didn't fall for it..
I meant your bike, but then we'd have the plate, and we'd see ya on the road!! Then you'd know it's one of us as we do a big mono while filtering.. Then you'd just say 'ahhh.. there's Death on his way home, must stop by some time for a cuppa..'

cool skid pan too. That'd be interesting to see what you guys learn on the bikes in the wet. You learn how to control slides etc in the wet?

    Cool

Now that is the biggest bike I have ever seen....

Now for me to sit on it.... I would need a stepladder to get up onto the seat..lol.

As mentioned above.... nodding to the police on bikes....
I nod and wave to the ambo bike riders, police bike riders and also the ambo drivers oh and the police cars drivers.

Well you just never know, we may need them... and hopefully they will remember it was me and be real nice....

I do that too.. sometimes ambos wave back, but I'm guessin they don't know why.
My thinking is that at some point, it might be them picking you up off the road, so might as well thank them in advance for their work

Good idea, I might check on it, but I use the ferry to commute, and the last time I checked (thought it would be interesting), it was booked for several months. Also, it would mean a bus to the train station, train to britomart. Unfortunately the parents are not made of money.

Also, apparently there is a load of bullshit red tape when taking the kids off-site (hazard management plan etc). Thats also why schools try to do everything on site.

The ambulance would be fantastic. We had sort of thought that they might be so busy there wouldn't be a chance. But if it is possible, I bet my mum would take the offer with every free hand she has

Will PM you if it works out...
