    New Trumpy's

The new Sprint ST and Speed Triple have arrived. Haven't ridden either yet, but they look like sex on wheels.
The Sprint looks more Sport bike than tourer, very Daytona like. But it has a more real world riding position. And the Speed Triple is pure Streetfighter, tries to out-Buell Buell. The guys running them in say that the new 1050 engine is a bit of a torque monster compared to the 955. The Sprint has lost some of the softness of the old Sprint due to stiffer susp base settings.
AMCN has a report on the Speed Triple this month too.

If I got rid of the bird for whatever reason, I'd buy a black Speed Triple - what a horny looking machine. There's other bikes that I think look nice, but the triple has that undefinable quality that stirs me up inside.

Same here. Very tempting that triple and the idea of a different style of riding has some appeal. The wallet says otherwise.

Have you really got a Diabolic 2 in a XXL, or are you just toying with me?

    Hi Lou
A guy at work just traded his Beemer in on a triple from you guys I believe. Havent seen it yet though there is a black 91 triple in the bike park. I don't think that one would have their licence long if that was in the garage.

When will the demos be in Wgtn? I'm keen to have a look-see.

The Speed Triple looks bloody good in photos.

    Hi ya M8.

I took a break from the DIY the other weekend to go to get something from the DIY store (that's my excuse). I went into the new Triumph dealer to have a look at the latest models. They had a Black Speed Triple in the show room. Most impressed. It looks like it's begging to be thrashed.
Also quite like the Thruxton in Black too.

Hi Legolas (and gentleman of good taste in motorcycles )

At 57, I can still use a fair bit of the B/B's performance when I need to, but what the heck do we replace our 'birds with when the time comes to be more sensible? My leanings towards the Speed Triple are to make a big change in riding style - massive grunt at the bottom end and to hell with top speed. I'm sure that my wife thinks it's long overdue

    Cheers

    Geoff

They're not in Wellington yet? Goodness, gracious me, I wonder why the cultural centre of the Universe is so late?

That bike looks nice **BUT** - there can only ever be *ONE* Thruxton. And it ain't a Triumph. Latter day stealers of that revered and immortal name are mere pale imitations, to be sneered at and consigned to biker purgatory for their sacrigious name-stealing.
