it seems to scare people, but one you get to the straights it a game of full throttle drags!

    what to do?
Why you're not a mentor yet is beyond me

i pass other motorcyclists in the same way i would pass any other vehicle,ie i use the other lane.I wouldnt pass an unknown to me rider mid corner closely, unless i had followed them through a few bends and thereby assess them

Just go flying up the inside of them, and if they flinch they are not as good as you assumed.

Totally agree here, overtaking on wide sweeping corners is quite alright by me so long as your sensible about it. I recently overtook a lesser experienced rider on a much smaller bike mid corner doing about twice the speed she was doing and was hoping my pipes would not unsettle anyone. Turns out it didn't as I did it as safely as possible. Of cause with the R1 I wait for the straights as Gixxer thous don't really stand much of a chance once I shift up to 2nd

Everything doesn't always go to plan, and then you are hanging by a thread. Haven't you learned your lesson yet? Going hard on the open road in groups is asking for trouble. Y'know, blood, hair, and bone on the road.. some people silent and some people screaming.. Haven't you seen enough of that? Don't you remember what it looked and smelled like and how you felt about it? You felt sick didn't you? The worst kind of sick...

Sounds to me like you need to get on the track more regularly, and blow it out of your system.

Getting to close to any other rider on the road is just simply a dumb idea unless you know them and their skills....stay riding with those you know and are comfortable with. Personally I ended up disliking group rides completely because they were usually filled up with young, dumb full of cum riders who seemed to think they were V. Rossi.... ended up riding with a small group of the same riders more and understood thier style.

Estimating others' abilities, if you ride/drive based on your estimate of others' abilities you know damn well how that's going to end, and well Carver knows that.

He's obviously been riding with raj again and just wanting to wind him up to see how much bullshit raj will spout and as we can see, it worked.

I see my next pass victim early and prepare my pass manoeuvre ,be it a cage or gl145.
Quick as a flash I change down one gear from top to 4th.
I role that throttle on full letting the acceleration rapidly crawl from 95 to 110.
Knowing I have almost half a km to get this done the excitement wells up and the indicators go on.Edge past and the deed is done.

Surely no one else has your capabilities so theres no need for you to assume???

Maybe maybe not .... I see riders doing what he described every second or third ride I'm on, so there are plenty of inconsiderate ones out there giving little thought to their actions.

If you find yourself in the twisties behind the slower rider back off a bit and do not crowd their rear like some anus-loving-arse-bandit - all this will do is rattle them, possibly to the point of making a serious mistake.

I hate it when someone is riding my rear tyre like that.

After a couple of corners they will know you are back there and you can get pass on the next safe and clear opportunity - chances are they'll tuck in to the left for you to make it safer (that's what I'd do).

Then if they catch up with you at the next stop your more likely to get the thumbs up and a 'good skills mate' other than a 'fuck your a ..........'
i usually pul;l over and let the dude past, then overtake him again in the next set of corners
