    Question Front licence plates

What's the legal status on front licence plates? (i.e. on the front mudguard)

    Cheers

Illegal. They are considered as being a fitting that may be dangerous to others in the event of an accident.

Is it like in the UK where if the bike was registered before 2001 (I think) it's not required to have both but can. But after that date can only have the rear one.

Illegal to fit a front plate. However some older machines have the built in "mounting blade" and you may paint what you sih on that

You want a front number plate?

    On what? The Scrambler?

I seriously doubt you'd get any grief - as stated maybe remove it for a WOF?

Just get a front racing number above the headlight (it would also act as a flyscreen) - that could look cool on one of those.
