    Parliament meeting tonight

Anyone in the WLG area. If you have never been to the parliamentary debating chamber tonight is your opportunity to go. Apparently they are meeting under urgency to push the legislation through (huge surprise)

How many people in full leathers can we get into the visitors gallery?

If the end date for consultation and receiving submissions is 10 November, how the hell can they do that ?

Parliament may go into urgency this afternoon as the National Party tries to push through controversial changes to the law required to change ACC levies.

3 News has been told that the Maori Party and ACT are refusing to back the government's bid.

Neither party has spoken in parliament yet but ACC Minister Nick Smith has admitted that National are still in negotiation with their coalition partners.

This is breaking news - more details to follow.

And if they haven't seen them, they don't exist.
It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.

If it goes through under urgency, simply "forget" to pay your rego.

    Can we all do that?
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

    What is a rego ?

My estimation of John Key and National just went down considerably.

I might even try and speak with him on ZB tomorrow am and ask how in a democratic society, the Govt can pass a law without first finishing consulting and receiving submissions.

    From Radio New Zealand News:

Support still sought to make ACC changes law

    Updated at 4:36pm on 15 October 2009

The Government has delayed introducing legislation on changes to the Accident Compensation Corporation, with the National Party saying it's still seeking support for the bill.

Parliament went into urgency on Thursday and MPs had expected the legislation, which will cut back on ACC entitlements, to be introduced during the afternoon.

ACC Minister Nick Smith told Parliament, however, that he was still seeking the support of the other parties in the government.
