Motorcycle restricted riding hours?

Im a little confused, I have full car licence with no restrictions, but a restricted motorcycle licence. I work evenings and am usually heading home between 11pm and 2am.

Is it correct to say that I am allowed to ride a 50cc scooter or drive a car between the hours of 10pm and 5am but, I am not allowed to ride a 250cc bike between these hours?

I have this but the other way round. In theory id have to go home, drop the car off by 10pm, and grab a bike.

I have never adhered to the time curfews on any license.

Yeah.... the car and a scooter, all is good. Them nasty motorbicycles is dangerous and need special attention......

Can get an exemption for the hours if ya need them... but for a cost of course....

And some say we revenue collect...??????

Apply for an exemption to ride home from work (only) after 10pm. Let me know how you go cos I'm thinking of selling my car and might want to do the same

The law is an ass (this actually means it is merely a beast of burden).

It is assumed that people with learner and restricted licences are aged around 15-19 years of age and will therefore be up to no good after 10pm.

I think this should be changed so that people aged 25+ with learner or restricted licences have no time restraints on them. It felt a bit weird on a 250cc bike aged 36 but having to be home by 10:00 to collect the performance sports coupe....

Im led to believe its something to do with not being that focussed being awake at times you would otherwise be sleeping which, for most people would be between 10pm and 5am (Or am I mixed up with something else?). And due to this, they have this law to discourage (Strongly) operating a vehicle between these hours. Its flawed with the whole full car, restricted motorcycle licence situation.

But at the same time, for someone like myself working evenings/nights, im most likely to be at my worst 3-10am. :

Twas just a little older, and in my line of work.... had to get the Learner exemption. Then they wanted me to reapply for the same exemption I had on the learners, to be put onto the restircted, for a fee of course.....

alot of cops dont care if you are out late as long as you are not being stupid just too much paperwork the most they will do is pull you over and give you a warning.

Im hoping that if I get pulled over, its by an understanding police officer as after talking to somebody behind a desk today ive been told there is nothing they can do in terms of exemptions...
