Gotya, thanks I'm obviously far too innocent to notice such establishments

The telly tubby would have been better though, eh?

OK, been to The Bearhouse and got a Teddyphant. It's like a Teddy Bear, only more elephantish. My cuddly toy consultant told me it was the cuddliest one there, so I hope it passes muster!

I've got a 45 litre top-box that will take a few cuddlies. Planning to go from The Poenamo if anyone's interested in making use of the space...

I don't think I'll fit the two 35 litre side cases though, as I have plans to decorate the mountings

    Cheers - Chasio

C'mon Auckland (and surrounding areas) riders.

Apparently, Tauranga managed to get 1100 bikes to their one!!

Over 1100 bikes. Probably well over, as I was far from being the only late arrival.

And Simon Bridges was there, and seemed to be receptive (although he was likely looking at ~1500 votes...) He did make a very good point though - PUT IN A SUBMISSION.

Thanks to Max, Adelle and others for putting it together. I'd say that the voice of Tauranga riders has been heard.
Tauranga can't beat us, can they?

If you can't make the entire ride, consider making just the assembly at the Domain

    +1 Mully.

This is Aucklands opportunity to show Auckland just how we feel.
The media are aware of this, if its a big enough spectical it will make the evening news. Get you mug and your pride and joy on the TV and at the same time be part of the this protest to unjustified levy's.
Even some teddys are going to get a ride.
Submissions are vital, If you havent done one do it now, it takes just a couple of minutes.

P.S. If you want to be part of it but dont have a bike or know someone who wants to come along there are plenty of people willing to pillion you.

    Cheers Graham,

Can you imagine the public support if we get 1100+ teddy bears to donate to Heart Children??

Submissions are vital - to ACC, and also your local MP (particularly if you are in a marginal seat). The more noise that is made, the better.

FWIW, my questions to John Banks and Len Brown (potential mayors of the Auckland "Supercity") seeking their postions haven't been answered - make of that what you will when the elections roll around.

Maybe the idea of buying a Teddy is putting people off? Lord knows why it should because the bears are for Heart Children. I have done fundraising for them in the past and theirs is a very worthy cause, folks.

    Or maybe it's something else...?

If that's the case, that's pretty sad really.

Tis an early start from them as lives in the Souf, and has to ride all the way norf, then back souf, then back norf, then back souf again.

Maybe a ride leaving the Souf and crossing with the one from the norf?

And it doesn't stop anywhere. No aggro.

Unless the bikes have pretty big signs how will Jow Q. know what it's about?

I have donated two teddies (well, a teddy and a lamb) but I can't go on the ride, so someone can come along without bringing a cuddly toy if they like.

That's a good point - I think we need to make sure we can have some reasonable size signs - particularly at the TEC end. One thought - is there anyone who could drive a cage (or better a light truck or something) with banners etc @ the rear.

Another point - do we have an 'official' flyer for this event - I'd be happy to print some off and distribute them around a few of the bike parking areas around the CBD. (I guess we need to all finally agree route etc first) - also an oppprtunity to get on board more bikers/scooterers who may have missed the war cry so far...
