    T2 Lanes

Well I'm sure every one has spotted the transit or T2 lanes on most on ramps now. I'm also sure that most people myself included have been making the most of them. Just curious as to the legality of using them on a motorbike when there is only the rider (no passenger) on board.
I ask as I rode up one today at gt north road to find a please man checking it was being used appropriately. he was already writing out his pay cheque to someone else in a car wen I rode past so fortunately I didn't have the pleasure to stop and talk to him.
I'm fairly positive it would be legit and even so surely could be argued as hugely safer than splitting the two lanes of cars on the 'normal' on ramp.
but hopefully someone will have a more informed view than my own

    Do a search.

BRONZ took the matter up with the police and LTSA (as it then was0 and confirmed, YES bikes are fully entitled to use the motorway priority bypass lanes (and any other T2 lane).

The only exception is the one on Grafton Hill, which is not a T2 lane
