Can't make this one coz of work unfortunately.

Quick question though, Is John Keys going to be at his office? Several other people have been trying to get hold of his schedule - so far without success

It's not John Key's office. It's the electorate office. He would only occassionally be there outside election time.

Be aware that it is actually someones house. They live there. I sussed it out today, 365 Whatever the main Road through Huapai is (Its technically in Huapai)

No reason not to protest there, but just take it into account.

Are you sure it's someone's house? It's definitely in a mainly residential area, but I thought it was just his office. It's the one that was fire-bombed recently late at night and I'm pretty sure it was just an office and not a residence.

It's most likely there will be nobody there after hours on a week day (unless there are some volunteers doing clerical jobs or someone having a minor electorate meeting...)

    (serious question)

Are we actually gonna have posters and actually protest at the place or just go from place to place, beep beep and go home ?

what is the actual protesting going to be ?

Does anyone know where John Key's office is? Might that be a better destination?

As an electorate MP, John Key has two offices. One in the Beehive in Wellington and one in his electorate of Helensville. Both are funded by Parliamentary Services and staffed by Parliamentary Services staff.

Most electorate MPs spend Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (during Parliament's sitting times) in Wellington, and Monday and Friday based out of their electorate office.

With John Key being the PM as well as an MP he has a lot of other committments and probably spends very little time actually in his electorate office in Helensville. But it is still his office.

Certainly looked like a house. Woman and kids there on Sunday afternoon.

I assumed it was the ELECTROATE office, not Key's (ie MPs come and MPs go, but the electorate organisation remains)

Better bet might be National party offices , 107 Gt South Road. Going to check them out tonight or tomorrow.

Yes, the office thing is a hard one to get your head around. A lot of MPs and their staff don't really understand it and end up getting in all sorts of strife as a result!

At the risk of seeing everyone's eyes glaze over I will give a quick explanation.

There are two sources of political funding in New Zealand:
    1. The govt (our taxes via Parliamentary Services) funds Memebrs of Parliament to do their jobs on our behalf
    2. Donations fund parties to do 'political' stuff.

The office on SH16 in the Helensville Electorate is funded by Parliamentary Serices (you will see their official crest on the sign).

I believe the National Party office is a regional office and is based in town.

Pansy Wong also has an office in town. It is her MP's office (look for the crest).

I hope that helps (a little bit!)

It's a commercial zone.I don't think it is a residence. No one was home when it was fire bombed.
