"1 2 3 4 We want the ACC levies to correctly and accurately reflect the risk profile we as motorcyclists really have on NZ roads!"

Has a certain ring to it.

Council response to more parking request

So you all know how much effort HAS gone into access, latest council repy from the Parking executives
Hope it helps you all understand the efforts taken and the consessions gained

Hi Brent - I have now spoken to Peter Baird and my manager regarding your requests.

The Council can provide some parking resources for this protest event at:

The angled parking on the Parliament side of Molesworth Street, from the corner of Bunny St/Lambton Quay to the top entrance gates of Parliament - approx 23 angled car parks.
The parallel car parking on Lambton Quay (outside Victoria University Law Faculty - Old Govt Bldgs), from Bunny Street to Whitmore Street. This extra parking should be used only as an overflow and may include spaces for Police or WCC vehicles.
The provision of special "mobility parks" cannot be done. Could you please try to get your marshals to administer this on the day in the Molesworth Street angled parks?
Any assistance you can provide to prevent motorcycles parking on the footpath would be greatly appreciated.

I will see you again on Monday as well.

    Kind regards

    (A council exec)

End result, a part of Lambton Quay opposite Parliament now also available
We have done our ALL to get us into the city, see you on the 17th
    Just ride.

Well I, for one, am OUTRAGED that there may be spaces there for WCC vehicles.

S'alright - give you something to overturn and set fire to when the rioting starts

    (p/t. Calm down)

I will give them one hell of a talking to in my best school ma'am voice...the likes of which they will never want again!

Theres room for 200 or so bikes at Parliament, its a MID week business day with Busses flowing past the only way into that street

Its a reasonable request, and a historical opportunity to hold the BIGGEST rally ever at Parliament, as well as park the MOST bikes ever in NZ at one place

We will be seen, we will definitely be heard, and we have it all officially sanctioned

If we blow this, we stand to lose all credibility, and be labeled forever 'leather clad neanderthal's'

Is a SHORT walk from your Bike (guarded by our Wellington Volunteers) too much to ask???

The parking we DO get at the big house is open to all, but those in the large groups forming in the two main suburban locations are expected to go to the Stadium, where we have a collection for the Free Ambulance Service

And as we have inner city riders and disabled riders coming, I think it only fair they get to utilize the small area there, creating enough chrome and noise to be counted

TV will show the massive bike park at Stadium, the convoys, and our speeches

But if we dont show humility and restraint we give Nick and JK what they want, an angry rabble, with no respect to give, or be shown

Its not a huge ask to use the Stadium, in fact its a fucking blessing, or we would end up with riders walking fucking 5 ks alright, all the way from Courtenay Place, and one very HOSTILE city population who only just forgot the truckies of 2 years ago at last
Parking at the stadium is not a big issue to me BUT I'm not sure where you are coming from ie "we were asked very nicely" WHAT? maybe Nick could ask you very nicely to pay up. "We stand to lose all credibility" just what sort of cred do you think bikers have. Do you really think you can make Nick or JK respect us? Hey I don't know why you are bothering to protest if you ain't angry! I don't intend to be a dickhead on this protest but I certainly won't be Humble. Sorry to get personal but if your attitude is part of the driving force for this protest we are doomed and I may as well bend over now

Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Very entertaining for the media. It all it will take is one fuck up or act of stupidity and the media can turn the whole thing in favour of ACC, thus negating all the effort put in by Stoney, Ixion et al.

Calm sensible heads on the day..... Please

Congratulations to stoney, ixion, and all the others, who have helped to put together, this huge undertaking.

I have never protested, nor ridden in a large group, but I’m doing both, because I believe passionately, that together, we can force change.

This will be historic, something to tell your grandkids about, the last thing needed, is for someone to go off half cocked.

United we must be, or smith and his mates win.

    Roll on Tuesday 17th

    Cheers,

    Bob
